Glastonbury Festival, by lukas01 on Jul 11, 2024 12:16:49 GMT 1, A simple question posed to the users of the forum, to understand where they would like to see Banksy's next exhibition after Glasgow.
Few interested. And honestly it seems to me that a good part is completely disinterested in Banksy's artistic life and his initiatives. Perhaps some are really just trying to squeeze Banksy financially. It's obviously not a good thing.
And then they complain about Damien Hirst, who literally takes them for consumerist idiots and reinterprets the buyer's enthusiasm by flooding the market with thousands of works and editions to buy.
Many appreciate art only for financial gain. Few buy because they like a work of art. Just look at the thread regarding the next Pejac release from Avantarte.com to get an idea.
Every collector has their own victories and their own existential dramas. As well as the artists. This is the 21st century.

After being screwed over not once but twice on eBay (in the early scramble/price gouging!), happy to have got my hands on some too in part thanks to a helpful forum member. Regardless of the noise, there are still good people here!
The paper is indeed thin and I paid a bit more than ยฃ15 each(!) but these are quality (real) screen prints and the colours are way more vibrant in person than expected. They really do look great and like you said, are much bigger than I also thought!
I still think they (and Terminal 1) have Banksy involved but I wonโt stir that pot again! ๐

Every collector has their own victories and their own existential dramas. As well as the artists. This is the 21st century. It is absolutely astonishing to me lukas01 that there is only limited interest in a 'Cut & Run Tour', especially after the massive success in Glasgow ! Quite frankly, the rewards alone are huge for any city lucky enough to be chosen and the appetite for Banksy and his stencil artworks is undiminished - just look at the attendances for all those 'unauthorized' shows. [apologies for even mentioning them in the same breath ๐]
To exploit Banksy to the point where it may no longer be in his interest to throw up art in a public space (or even produce anything at all that isn't immediately being exploited for financial gains) surely cannot be a good thing to all us steadfast loyal supporters of his artistic output and numerous other initiatives. I cannot believe that any of us will gain, should we persist in "cutting the nose to spite the face" - I for one am certainly in camp Banksy and long may he be allowed to continue with his messages to the world, because there are very few true artists as it is that are truly able to cut through the quagmire of world events and focus our understanding with such clarity !
Ps: loui; why are you pretending to wonder about the PM, when you were one of the two participants in the conversation ? ๐

Glastonbury Festival, by rockbeer on Jul 12, 2024 9:42:30 GMT 1, Hi all,
I have one each of the Borderline Offensive and Terminal 1 posters which I'm open to trading for something interesting, either individually or as a pair.
I bought these on site at Glasto direct from the La Linterna / Terminal 1 poster shop โ receipt (photo / copy only) available if that sort of thing matters to you.
I'm especially interested in work and/or ephemera by Ardif, Jimmy Cauty/Jams/K2, Stanley Donwood, Billy Childish, Chloe Early, Gee Vaucher, Xenz โ but basically I'm open to any interesting offer or suggestion.
PM me to let me know what you've got for a possible exchange.
Please bear in mind I'm out of the UK till the end of the month so it will be a few weeks before any deal can be completed. Which leaves us all plenty of time to think about it!

I believe this post is aimed at me..
You try to help people out and get nothing but grief.
You paid me ยฃ41 for two Insect pins and patches and told me to get a beer.
The shop was closed as they ran out of stock (posted in thread)
I even sent you a price break down.
I believe it was :-
ยฃ10 pin ยฃ8 patch ยฃ7 beer ยฃ9.65 post
ยฃ5.9 REFUNDED.
The single patch and pin I sent were from what I purchased the day before, didn't want to leave you without anything.
Can't please everyone... ๐คฆ๐คฆ๐คฆ

Glastonbury Festival, by Morfx on Jul 12, 2024 11:30:31 GMT 1, Good Morning, I believe this post is aimed at me.. You try to help people out and get nothing but grief. You paid me ยฃ41 for two Insect pins and patches and told me to get a beer. The shop was closed as they ran out of stock (posted in thread) I even sent you a price break down. I believe it was :- ยฃ10 pin ยฃ8 patch ยฃ7 beer ยฃ9.65 post ยฃ5.9 REFUNDED. The single patch and pin I sent were from what I purchased the day before, didn't want to leave you without anything. Can't please everyone... ๐คฆ๐คฆ๐คฆ I have another version but nobody will believe me. I should pay shipping once you were at home : I wonโt put all the screenshots ( they talk by themselves ) but you were ok for the deal . so you could understand that I was as very disappointed receiving only one patch and one pins got 40. I ordered two more at Glastonbury + 14 taxes as you did not wrote gift , made that the all lot will cost me 85 ยฃ ?! I hope that you understand my angryness. Never have had a deal like this. So apologize everybody ! i will feel better soon. Deep thoughts to kjg and the happy ones. free images com Yep? The shop was closed, Posted in the thread.. I assumed you would rather have two than nothing???
You had sent enough to cover the postage costs also, so I just used that and refunded the difference..
Jeez...

Declared value was ยฃ18. True to cost, if you have an issue with your tax system, take that up with your Govt.
You alsilo never asked to mark it as a gift.
I'm done with this.. why do you make everything such a ball-ache?

Glastonbury Festival, by Terry Fuckwitt on Jul 12, 2024 11:59:01 GMT 1, After being screwed over not once but twice on eBay (in the early scramble/price gouging!), happy to have got my hands on some too in part thanks to a helpful forum member. ๐ I wonโt thank the โhelpful member โ with me as he did not helped me and sent me for 40 quid only one patch+one pins + 14 euros taxes of course . thats why I was unhappy last night about football ( hurray for UK anyway ! ) as some ( always the same, he asked me a cherry blossom poster and I posted it at cost ! ) here are liking aโฆ to get prints etc, and they got them, I asked some and I got nothing. happy ( apart for kjg ) for those who got the posters, unhappy for me. forget this comment ( but itโs not worth than others no ? ) but I just see that friends help friends and the other ones no.) Happy to get Onket and Acme and few others to be friends with me. Bye bye ( Iโm not this idiot of xitte ) and sorry ! Seems a bit unfair Lroy when Morfx has gone out of their way to help members like yourself try and source some bits for the price of a beer

Iโve had recent dealings with Morfx and it couldnโt have been more straightforward.

Seems a bit unfair Lroy when Morfx has gone out of their way to help members like yourself try and source some bits for the price of a beer Yes I know and I thank him, I wrote first that I payed him a beer. What I did not understood is : why only two items instead of the 4. he told me that he will write to me once at home for the shipping costs ( and I was ready to pay ) . you know when there are people ( it happened) from USA or uk asking posters or Invader from France, I made this for free and all is clear since the beginning. but yes Iโm unfair and have bad reputation, but Iโm really tired about this, I was hoping my 4 pins and I have been deceived before too for the posters at cost .. Anyway Iโm fed up of this messy and vandalized thread, nothing is clear ! i understand you anyway. good luck !
