Had to dig thru Joakim's instagram but found that the price was 3000SEK (app. $360USD, 290€).

I’m trying (probably too hard) to connect with his work but it just does nothing for me. I recognize the skill involved in the sculpture, but the execution feels sloppy. Maybe not the right choice of words. He’s the kind of artist who’s print I almost bought because other collectors appeared to be validating his work, and because Popink works with other artists I like.

What is it about his work you connect with? Would sincerely enjoy knowing.

Hey man thanks for the reply.  I was traveling and didn't have a chance to respond.  I was reminded of your take on his work this morning when I saw a sculpture on his IG of a boy sitting down holding an orange snake.  For whatever reason, this was the first piece of his that resonated with me.  He captured a feeling of sadness and loneliness with that piece that I hadn't felt with his other work.  It felt like the kid who gets picked last for every team sport.  I better understand the melancholy you referenced and I connected with it.  
That said, the print he released means nothing to me, but like a lot of art, that may change over time.  From a purely aesthetic POV, I like the pastel palette he's using, but the image itself is empty.  

Bigger picture, the more involved I get in this forum, the more I have to step back and ask myself whether I like a particular artist's work because everyone else likes it, or if it actually does anything for me.  It's also interesting (to me) how my personal tastes have evolved in the 18 months that I've been actively following this forum.  While I've been collecting prints from local artists for years, this was my first consistent exposure to an international urban art scene.  Artists that I initially connected with and wanted to collect now do next to nothing for me.  Point being, tastes change and evolve, and I enjoyed hearing your take on what about Joakim's work you connect with.

Thanks for sharing; love his work and own a couple ceramic pieces. Loved the print he did with POP!NK and hope that they do another edition soon!

For me an essential buy! The last edition was 50 if memory serves.

Wouldn't have been my choice for a second print.
I prefer the first, and would have liked another of his usual figures.
