Pejac - Yin-Yang, by coller on Jun 30, 2019 14:36:22 GMT 1, I will say the wall-friendliness arguments are funny to me.
This seems a lot easier to hang than a boat creating a blood gash in the arctic, a person stabbing themself, a bunch of trees getting cut down, and a picture of an ocean filled with inorganic waste.

Pejac - Yin-Yang, by teabaggins on Jun 30, 2019 14:42:24 GMT 1, Ah. I'm sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings. I was swept by hype and have overpaid on crap many times before. I genuinely thought, those hyped pieces were good for my walls. But with a clearer mind later - I wished I spent those thousands of euros on vacations or meals or a new laptop - than a big piece of paper that reminds me what a moron I've been... We, as a group of like minded collectors, like Trump supporters, tend to build isolated bubbles. We should be more critical - on every release - especially on those charging skyrocket prices - so we don't end up with flat files full of Nick Walkers, Brainwash etc etc... (and maybe artists could be more on their toes with their releases)... If you have 2400 euros to spare - and you really love this - go for it. But do go in as informed as you can - know what the different POVs are - and not just the one-sided hyped ones. You clearly only enjoy art if it "goes up". You clearly don't value your time with over 2,000 posts on this pathetic site. If you had spent the money on a holiday, you have spent the time trolling on here. Who cares what other people's "POV" are? But if people do GC. Here's mine. You are a greedy, ignorant, jealous (probably fat), loser. And I feel sorry for your friends and sadder still, your family. You are pefect for this forum from what I've seen so far. I discovered Pejac (through a gallery) only very recently. I really enjoy his pieces but also have never quite seen such animosity towards an artist. Mostly petty jealousy. But still. Well that escalated quickly 😳

If this piece lost value the day after my purchase that would have no impact on whether or not I enjoy it.
Obviously this is a very subjective topic. However, if you dislike an artist or his/her artwork it might be best to not post on said thread. And if you like the artwork but unfortunately cannot afford it...but also deem it necessary that the thread hear your input, please be more transparent on that matter rather than finding ways to try and disengage collectors from artists who price out of your budget.
A different alternative -- What a plot twist this would be if you were trying to scale down hype in hopes of scoring one...if that was the case you could have private messaged me and I would've maybe joined forces

Pejac - Yin-Yang, by pada1 on Jun 30, 2019 15:54:35 GMT 1, All opinions are welcome in the forum, as long as it's respectful from others. Everyone has some intention in mind by sharing a comment here... consciously or not.
I understand that people dislike the release for various reasons. I agree with some actually (size for instance). But overall, I like the diptych which is in sync with the messages the artist has sent so far.
Last, selling the HF for charity is a good approach. I don't think there will be any for Friends & Family this time. That shows the artist is trying to show more transparency and giving a share to association in need.

The charity print is only edition of 10. Most HF runs by Pejac have been 20-25. As a person who loves a good wager, I’d bet there will still be a small run for long time buyers and close Family/Friends.

I agree, its very easy to get swept along by the hype, buy things You like the look of as they are pretty pictures and if need be you can get your money back or even make a profit. Then find a few years down the line looking at something you spent a few grand on only being worth a few hundred.
There has been plenty of bubbles in here over the years. (Not saying this is one)

APs maybe. Or the 10 were offered to the F+F before the public. Or both.
Excited to actually have a chance at one of his HF editions for once. Although I’m sure the edition of 10 will be beyond difficult to get.

Pejac - Yin-Yang, by Hairbland on Jul 1, 2019 12:02:51 GMT 1, this image, smaller on cheaper paper would do well at places that sell posters for dorm rooms. applies to nearly everything discussed on this forum. i don't really understand your focus on pejac, but do you. I have no focus on Pejac, have thought some of his other work good, am commenting strictly on this image which honestly could be done by anyone. I feel that “lazy” encapsulates my thoughts as to the inspiration, process and release of this particular piece.
I felt the same way about the Whatson En Pointe - lazy.
Nothing nasty - just an opposing point of view. No comments about you personally. Try to keep the “you / your” out of the discussion, it will make for a stronger point.

Pejac - Yin-Yang, by gd79 on Jul 1, 2019 12:24:52 GMT 1, Why does Pejac always bring out the best in this 'community'
He's far from the only artist that (arguably) doesn't nail every print in an (arguably) inflated price bracket.
Someone mentioned jealousy. I'm not sure what anyone would be jealous of. Unless they are a starving artist. I think the charge of being cliquey is probably justified, and the existence of a further special run only adds to this. But again, that's hardly unique.
Possibly only a new invader drop would get more attention

With only 10 today, if you don’t have super faster internet there is no reason to try because it will be gone before you can add to cart.
