Exactly. So it should be informative to buyers and galleries alike on pitfalls to avoid.

That’s clearly a fake. Banksy prints are filled with glitter.

Prescription Art 🇬🇧 Brighton, by Deleted on Jul 16, 2019 22:24:14 GMT 1, Nothing should ever be deleted. This thread serves as a good warning for people when dealing with galleries.
Always ask for good quality pictures of both the front and the back of prints. Don't let them get away with 'yeah it's mint'. As you can see in this thread, they WILL lie to you sometimes. They can either hide the fact that there's damage, or hide the fact that it's on consignment and they haven't seen the print at all. Just remember to ask yourself - would you buy a 20k car without even seeing it first?
And yes, this will mean that some galleries will ignore your questions or requests for pictures and just ghost you. Prescription Art did that with me. But then you have the peace of mind that there was in fact something wrong with the print, and the gallery just couldn't be bothered to be honest with you. Blacklist them in your head and move on.

Also a good thread to understand that unless you can respond to a message immediately you will likely be called out via forum, twitter, instagram or good old Facebook live.
When dealing with sums over 10k immediate response is mandatory or you are a bum...

Prescription Art 🇬🇧 Brighton, by nex on Jul 16, 2019 23:08:27 GMT 1, Also a good thread to understand that unless you can respond to a message immediately you will likely be called out via forum, twitter, instagram or good old Facebook live. When dealing with sums over 10k immediate response is mandatory or you are a bum... He started this thread because he'd been getting no response for 5 days after sending the gallery 20k. He then didn't get a response for 3 days after things had gone tits up. Pretty patient in my opinion given the sum involved and the messed up situation. I'm not sure where you're getting this immediate response bit from but you might want to read the thread again, slowly.
Perhaps you need to go back and read the tread slowly?
‘I offered a full refund straight away when I heard the customer wasn't happy. Which was YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. I don't have the print back, and haven't seen what the problems are for myself, so it's very hard to comment any further on’

This is the issue, not the fact that I wouldn't be offered a refund, but as to when the funds would be available to do so.
The piece is supposed to be picked up Sunday. I'm seeing if I can't find a courier to pay to deliver it back by hand. PFG did an amazing job documenting each piece he received on my behalf, about 20 pictures of the entire piece being unpacked at each step from both tubes.
If it doesn't get delivered back by Sunday, I've been advised not to ship it back as it's only 1.5 hours away by multiple attorneys on here via PM.

Bearing in mind the $20k print was sent out as perfect when it was trimmed and damaged the “haven’t received the print back” excuse is lame. The print is 1 3/4 hrs away and a car trip or flight logistics would have seen the print back in no time. The gallery should have organised this. The question of whether the funds are available to refund is a whole different can of worms.
Now I’m pretty damn sure you’ve read the thread slowly but you don’t appear to understand the pertinent facts in this matter. You prefer to bleat on about timescales and the ills of social media.
Now you’re either being obtuse or you perceive you have something to gain from siding with the gallery. In view of your standard bearing for flippers on here and your penchant for a quick profit, I would suggest the latter.

Nothing to gain at all - don’t think I’ve bought anything from said gallery - I just think given the timeframe, this didn’t need to be aired until some basics had been ‘run through’ ie. print returned, private discussion of grievances, way forward (or lack there of) known.... etc etc
As I and others stated elsewhere - print ‘condition’ isn’t a simple bad/good quality some are making out.
Talk privately, then air here if it was unsatisfactory- that is all.

...and what I’m saying is bend over backwards to keep the customer happy, collect the bloody print yourself, don’t say you’re too busy, don’t say it’s perfect when it isn’t, don’t come on here cursing and offering sarcasm, and answer your messages.

Prescription Art 🇬🇧 Brighton, by Deleted on Jul 17, 2019 11:07:24 GMT 1, The most interesting thing I read in this thread (a dozen or two times) is that mark from pfg is leaving for a month. I want that job. he is going into hospital for an operation to get his life long troublesome piles taken care of and the rest of the time he is sat on a rubber ring watching episodes of Columbo. Or at least thats what I heard on an internet somewhere.
