Tesco, by cest on Jul 8, 2019 1:35:31 GMT 1, Hey folks,
Right now i cannot afford an editioned banksy, so i am looking at either the cans or bomb lithos. Im just starting the search...
I do have a few questions which applies to each... I have never seen either of these in person.
(1) between the two, and with respect to printing, which do you feel is a better image for the wall?
(2) is the paper a heavier stock and is it glossy stock?
(3) it has been years since it was released, should they be accompanied by a receipt or is there another way to help ensure provenance?
Thanks for the help!

Tesco, by nipper on Jul 8, 2019 7:08:13 GMT 1, Image is a personal choice and both are great but from memory I think neither are ‘glossy’. I might be corrected on that though.
The Cans can come with a receipt from POW ( or maybe an email / screenshot or the POW tube) but the Bomb was sold at a book fair in Bristol and originally in rolled up batches of 5 (which seemed odd) ....until they saw the length of queue that was forming and sold individually. No receipts that I can recall but some of us grabbed some flyers and stuff for the book fair as a means of some sort of ‘provenance’.

Tesco, by Icesay on Jul 9, 2019 20:42:10 GMT 1, It really depends on what you like. Both prints have a slight sheen but aren't shiny shiny. One inspires riots and the other has a richer narrative imo....appropriated, derivative and excellent!

i'll second the no receipts (& the keeping of some of the other literature that was there from the day)
time I got there was one per person
