Itโs astronomical money but when you consider the edition size & subject I think it was relatively cheap at ยฃ400k. As you say they donโt come up often...

The box is likely easy enough to collapse back to flat and then frame.

Those pics of the boxes show a load of heavy-duty staples holding them together at the corners. Also, my guess is the cardboard is quite thick (1+ cm). So the boxes wouldn't collapse to flat so easily, and would require one to irreparably damage the viewing side of the box.

These never come up - Banksy prices have moved a lot since those days - you could pick up a Choose Your Weapon for ยฃ20k (now ยฃ100k plus) then....... Coloured one for around ยฃ30 - ยฃ40k (now ยฃ150-ยฃ200k). Just to give you an idea of how prices have moved since then.....

Seems fair and logical to me, to be honest I'm priced out of this market anyway so shouldn't stick my nose in where it doesn't belong just always find it helpful to understand a sellers anticipated / desired price point. |
