He is showing his new body of work, which applies his classic vintage collage-work to combine cigarette and fashion advertisements, creating a unique and bold juxtaposition only the artist can own. Check out the attached flyer.
To coincide with the show, he took to the streets of Brooklyn and Manhattan to show large printed versions of his collages in citywide bus shelters.

One if my favourite shows/opening nights was his joint show with Bast at the Leonard Street Gallery many moons ago.
Will be very interested to see the work at this show.

It's gonna be a really great show. Classic Judith Supine, but evolved and in many ways, more mature and cohesive. Here is a preview of some of the works (the original collages will be on display) |

He was working on something similar to these works about 2 years ago when I visited his studio. They were amazing and they were around 6 ft x 4 ft in size.

I still remember back to n afternoon I spent with him taking in the cafe culture in NYC and visiting his apt / studio.. extremely generous with his time ( and paid for the drinks too).. Im also pretty sure it was he who got arrested for climbing up the tower and pasting up on Brooklyn bridge..
These look like much larger versions of the small photo / cigarette mash ups he did.
No idea pricing from the show but they are spectacular looking at the images above.
He is also the artist that my wife made me get rid of.. I had a Night Nurse piece framed and hung.. and it freaked her out.. so i had to let it go.
Glad he is back!
