Pejac Prints and original, by jtixier on Jul 29, 2019 20:16:52 GMT 1, Hello,
As a long-time Pejac collector, I am now considering the sale of a couple pieces in order acquire some new ones. Here is a list of what I am currently putting up for sale:
โ 1 Meadow Special Edition of 25 (hand finished). The print is framed and has been professionally fixed on a support in order to prevent any damage over time. Mint condition โ 1 Heavy Sea 70 ex. framed โ 1 Wound 80 ex. framed - 1 linea 200 ex. framed - 1 Love letter 470 ex.
I am also selling an original Pejac named โLadderโ from 2012. The piece is framed and has been professionally placed on a cardboard support in order to prevent any damage over time.
I am based in Luxembourg and can provide references from previous sales of Pejac prints. All prints are in mint condition and come framed.
Please send me your offers via private message.

When it comes to conservation/archival framing, the goal is that when unframed it is in original mint condition. Drymounting is for all intents and purposes permanent so itโs essentially altering the piece. If itโs not intended by the artist, anything permanent is bad.
I think the biggest challenge is finding someone who would be interested in it at that state. Considering we see creased prints which are easily fixed go for up to 30-50% off, I think youโd have to offer a large discount to get any bites. I think my recommendation to the seller would be to take it to auction.

Could you put it against the steam of a kettle. Worked pretty well for reusing stamps back in the day.

Pejac Prints and original, by jtixier on Jul 30, 2019 13:51:09 GMT 1, I can understand that this choice of fixing can scary to some of you, but the finishing is totally perfect, many museums choose this to exhibit lithography. If you do not like it's too bad.

Pejac Prints and original, by NYart on Jul 30, 2019 17:37:45 GMT 1, To each their own, intent wasnโt to criticize, just inform. Iโve heard many a case where people unknowingly had their prints dry mounted or were talked into it by framers. Not sure if thatโs the case here but if so sorry to hear.
โIf you want to present your images in a way that meets the museum standards of โconservationโ and โarchivalโ you obviously must not press, stick or glue your print to the backing board. Instead, youโll need to afix the print with acid-free archival materials that can easily be removed.โ
Not sure what museums are doing otherwise but..
