Anthony Lister π¦πΊ Australian Contemporary Artist, by Jeezuz Jones Snr on Nov 25, 2010 9:09:55 GMT 1, Great images.. I was up for it but then realised the size... too small. Be great if they were 700 x 500mm size/larger. I think 3 this size may look good next to each other floated in a white frame, but I will pass...

think like many these days he's downsized the paper size a bit but also the price/low edition in turn I guess. no postage from aussie land is a bonus by the looks.

Anthony Lister π¦πΊ Australian Contemporary Artist, by Warm Gun on Dec 10, 2010 15:25:26 GMT 1, Another bloody hello kitty print?
What the hell is going on with this brand?
Can't be many artists left who haven't sold out to the brand in the last few months.
Makes me retch.

Anthony Lister π¦πΊ Australian Contemporary Artist, by Warm Gun on Dec 10, 2010 15:41:25 GMT 1, What's your point?
Are you OK with the fact that at least three artists have released hello kitty prints in the last 5 weeks or so?
Does that not trouble you?
Have street art and advertising merged into one entity now?

if it were mandatory that I purchase them - it would trouble me - but since I don't - not troubled at all....

This Hello Kitty thing is actually organised by a member of the curatorial committee of the show at MOCA in April. lol
Check this and maybe you'll have your question answered in part (I say in part, because I think like you that's serious s**t, but everything should not be put in the same bag; ""street art"" is still diverse...): www.rrockenterprises.com/
But, in fact, I don't know at all the guy and had an opposite impression previously, so let's be nice. Pieces are on sale here: www.sanrio.com/smallgift/artshow
Nuart, if by any chance you read this, what do think of all of that? (to avoid confusion: I ask Nuart, because I know he cares about street art and he organizes in the field, so I would be interested to read his opininon; not that he has anything to do with that to be clear)

Anthony Lister π¦πΊ Australian Contemporary Artist, by Warm Gun on Dec 10, 2010 16:07:43 GMT 1, I'm not checking out anything as I don't really care enough, I'm just saying it's sad to see so many popular artists overtly sell their souls to this brand.

Anthony Lister π¦πΊ Australian Contemporary Artist, by Warm Gun on Dec 10, 2010 16:18:21 GMT 1, OK, I lied, I did check out the Sanrio link and that explains a bit (thanks for that) however there have been hello s**tty prints recently released from artists not associated with this project...it's all getting a bit sad and desperate.
Looking at that other hideous link it really does seem that 'street art' is for hire!
