The Art Transaction, by Deleted on Aug 16, 2019 18:18:56 GMT 1, What's the safe way to buy/sell an expensive print?
If you sell an expensive piece of art I assume the best way to do it is for the buyer to collect the art from you, but is bank transfer the safest way to do it? does it go through quickly for a large amount, eg while they wait. Once I see it in my account is that all good?

Once I see it in my account is that all good? Do a same day transfer in the bank with the buyer/seller. Make sure you go to the counter with the buyer. Then get the person at the counter to get the payment signed off by the manager.
Do the transfer first thing when the bank opens you should have it in a few hours or less.
Do not do the transfer after 1pm or it could be the next day when you receive it.

The Art Transaction, by Deleted on Aug 17, 2019 14:55:02 GMT 1, is that a chaps payment? It's a bit awkward if I have the buyer coming to me and having to hang around for a few hours. I thought an online transfer would be quick?

The buyer should let you ask these questions if they are legit
Or if you both use the same bank then you can do an instant transfer using the IBAN and BIC numbers (Europe)

If the buyer trusts you then no need to meet at all, just do the payment online . If your the buyer and don't know the seller i would never do a transfer unless it was paypal
