Art-el November Newz, by Art-el on Nov 9, 2007 10:51:52 GMT 1, Welcome one and all.
We at Art-el hope everything is good in your world. Yes, the gags about a 8 month web build are dissipating, we’ve weathered the storm and are here to unleash things, Art-el styleee!
Hopefully if you’re reading it's because you wanted to be kept up to speed with all things Art-el, if not then boy this is your lucky day, go see www.Art-el.co.uk it could well change your life, or at least your walls!!
Right troops let’s get gone and tell you what’s incoming.
Fresh in for November we will be bringing you the work of Pam Glew, a contemporary British artist, who has studied art and theatre design. She works in unusual media to produce modern images which have been shown in over 50 national group shows and art fairs since 2002.
Her compelling work on various mediums has really stopped us in our tracks and we felt it needed outing. Earlier this month saw her latest work on flags feature at the Affordable Art Fair in London, and all had reds dots by the end of the 1st day. We currently have some very affordable work available from her present ‘Fear Series’ which manipulates images of female icons from horror films. The striking red and white work sprayed upon the pages of horror fiction.
Also in the wind are some very different and absolutely stunning pieces from Pam on patinated copper which she transforms the metal using a vaacum, bleach and silver leaf. When wrapped around board will wall fixing's added some of these weigh in at 3+ kilos!
All of these pieces can currently be seen at www.Art-el.co.uk and will be released soon, so be sure to keep an eye out. Also due for release in November are some classic images from Nick Walker, aka Apish Angel. The Nickers, Born 2 Bomb and Cans all get an outing in some wicked formats and in some very limited editions here’s another chance for you to purchase a new Nick Walker piece. We will also soon have available some very nice pieces of original work. So be sure to drop by and check out what’s new and of course what’s still available from the other cabin crew, Misteraitch, Adam Koukoudakis, Dr.D, Brian Jones, Mr Jago, STOT, Eelus, Ben Frost, and Simon Lovelace.
Big Love
