Leech-like behaviour doesn't just offer zero value, as is the case with somebody posting an inane comment. It's actually detrimental to this message board because it undermines trust.

Members — inexperienced, overly-enthusiastic ones especially — already have a great deal to be wary of. [For example, they're repeatedly bombarded with threads by those trying to secure immediate resales of recent purchases, at significant markups. Or by others trying to offload their past purchase mistakes (helped along by "Great price!"-style quips from their mates). Rather often, these are sellers who also get defensive or have little diva fits whenever any comments are posted that they perceive as critical.]

And so, it can be dispiriting enough as it is over here.

I would therefore encourage you to resist making matters worse.
