Does anyone know if these would be easy to sell?ย I'm asking because I did a price check on artnet, and almost all of this edition were passed at auction (even though the estimate was around 1k GDP.) I'm trying to save up for to buy original work, so not sure if I should gamble on the Keith Haring- any advice?

I like the Crack Down more than the Watari. Itโs a great buy - vibrant colours, decent paper etc too

I agree - I have Crackdown and Watari and would love more but would be reluctant to buy from anything without rock solid provenance. I live in hope that someone else find a genuine stash of first printing from the 80s as thats prob the only way I'd buy more Haring posters. |

I really like thrifting/ bargain hunting and I've started to run into his work since moving across the the pond. I found one damaged work that I decided to sell at auction that I got for 20 bucks because it was so damaged (see below if curious.) Again there was the Haring copyright and I tried to research editions he was involved with before he died and it was very confusing. Thanks for the info!
Side note: Around that time there was a gorgeous work I saw when I went to drop off this poster at the auction house for an upcoming sale, I went to bid on it (the artist was unknown and the estimate was around 1k). I went to bid and the work went all the way up past 45K - turns out the buyer thought that it may have been an original Boetti. Very exciting find.

Tbf I can see why you'd question it. The deal does seem too good to be true, with 1st pressing posters going for a lot more elsewhere online.

Thanks. It looks like it's just one complaining that a kinks poster looked to new to be an original vintage. It doesn't necessary mean it isn't authentic though. There have also been people here saying the same about the watari posters and Banksy soup can posters, but I'm sure they are both also genuine. If they have been kept in a box in the back of a cupboard for most of their life, then they could still be in good shape.
