What you mean by 'not approved'. Banksy made them and it says 'Banksy of England' on the notes.

In other words, if you buy one of these you aren't getting a PC COA (which ironically, would come with a ripped in half tenner). If Banksy wanted these sold he would sell these himself don't you think? He certainly has enough of them.

I'm sure some people will try and validate their investments, but not me. I didn't and wouldn't spend that sort of money on one. These tenners are approved by Banksy, he just might not approve of them being sold.

as long as Laz is around pushing product, these tenners will contiue to endlessly be around. With the help of 2 or more galleries he was able to establish a faux market for these, that was the hard part the rest is a smooth coast ride

An edition of 100,000 minus a few thousand torn in half. He sure will be pumping these out if he has the stock, but they are authorised whether Banksy likes him selling them or not.

If he fucked up my numbered first edition book , I think it would be just fair I get to buy a Tenner for a reduced price. Itโ s strange and almost comical how irritated I am that I still havenโt received the book, it was such a loooong wait, daily check of email for a good month, for finding out the release date. I might make a cone hat out of the book if it ever arrives.

Banksy Captured Book โข Steve Lazarides , by met on Jan 9, 2020 10:54:14 GMT 1, Bullshit. I prefer Lazarides photos of Banksyโs work before a Banksy print, any day. I have had a massive Lazarides photo on my wall since 2006. No money involved, I stole it. It was worth it ๐๐ป No, he can not have it back, however he could sign it ๐
You previously referred to this theft in the thread, NEW LAZ SITE LIVE WITH SIGNED BANKSY PHOTOS*:
He is a good photographer, I love his images. I have had an massive one on my wall for over 10 years. I truly love it, if I hadnโt stolen it already I would buy it, if I could afford it. It is truly lovely
What were the circumstances in which you took the large photograph?
__________
I am hoping I've misunderstood, because a guest choosing to steal artwork from the home or business of their host would test my faith in humanity.
It is the kind of decision that can also have a serious impact on victims, on their financial and mental wellbeing.
One can imagine all the efforts put into organising a decent art display or exhibition: the significant time involved, the energy required, the upfront costs incurred beforehand. Now imagine what it would feel like for those efforts to be repaid by one of your visitors stealing from you. In isolation, this would probably be demoralising for just about any artist, curator or gallerist. And when added to the other obstacles, discouragements and knockdowns they already have to face on a daily basis in their respective professions, I'm guessing the cumulative effect might be enough to push the less-resilient among them to despair, perhaps even career-change.
__________
It's in the art world's interest that talented individuals be encouraged โ rather than stolen from or otherwise treated with contempt (regardless of any subsequent bids to rationalise such behaviour).
When someone is doing their job well, being innovative, why make their life more difficult and depressing? My vote would be to support them, or at least try not to sap their spirit.
Again, please correct me if I've misinterpreted your words or the context.

I have had an massive one on my wall for over 10 years. I truly love it, if I hadnโt stolen it already I would buy it, if I could afford it. It is truly lovely What were the circumstances in which you took the large photograph? __________ I am hoping I've misunderstood, because a guest choosing to steal artwork from the home or business of their host would test my faith in humanity. __________ It's in the art world's interest that talented individuals be encouraged โ rather than stolen from or otherwise treated with contempt (regardless of any subsequent bids to rationalise such behaviour). When someone is doing their job well, being innovative, why make their life more difficult and depressing? My vote would be to support them, or at least try not to sap their spirit. Again, please correct me if I've misinterpreted your words or the context.
My English isnโt good enough to answer you on an intellectual level. Although I feel I need to give you some response, you are right in all said. I take theft seriously, I do. At that time my intention wasnโt to steal it, I had lived in and visited many countries, and was in an flow with various meetings with people and strange circumstances, no one would have believed me, if I didnโt keep up with my snap shots. I was travelling for three years, Bristol London Goa back and forth. Strange and fun years. There was some drinks some love, some heartbreak and probably someone I wanted to impress. Most of all I wanted to put pieces into this giant puzzle I had lived in for a couple of years. It made sense then. Still this Laz photo on my wall puts things to place for me, itโs a mark of an adventure I lived. My intention that late drunk night was to replace the picture with one of my own. It would have been so much fun. I knew exactly witch one to replace it with, and that picture would only be fun for one specific other person to see. I didnโt succeed coz it was the closing night of not only the exhibition but the place itself. So it became a theft. I have brought this to PC long ago, I have also stated that this print in my opinion actually doesnโt belong to me, it is a note in series of happenings, it puts a smile in my face, but it doesnโt really belong to me, it belongs in a story of life being so close to art. If Lazarides wish, I send it to him , destroy it, make a cone hat out of it, or whatever he wishes.
Bullshit. I prefer Lazarides photos of Banksyโs work before a Banksy print, any day. I have had a massive Lazarides photo on my wall since 2006. No money involved, I stole it. It was worth it ๐๐ป No, he can not have it back, however he could sign it ๐ You previously referred to this theft in the thread, NEW LAZ SITE LIVE WITH SIGNED BANKSY PHOTOS*: He is a good photographer, I love his images.
