I was just going to mention how I am still waiting to be registered as the owner a print and right as I was typing I received an email from them stating that they have now taken care of it. It took seventeen days but I imagine it could have been an issue that the seller doesn't speak English very well. I think that in the future I will also provide them with Paypal invoices and Paypal proof of payment to try and expedite things.

I've got a few banksy's with COA's but registered in og purchasers names. Never thought of the need to change them ! Is this such a bad thing ? Maybe they are building a flippers database.

Confirmation email may have ended up in your spam add authenticate@pestcontroloffice.com to your address book. Don't forget they will need to confirm with the previous owner that the piece has been sold and I think the person who deals with coa's etc may only be part time.
Hold tight you'll get there in the end.

Look this simply meant no primary relationship with Laz and no more prints from pow for the common people
The end and they all went off and bought poor renditions of similar work by artists that will never amount to 1/100 th of what banksy is.

I got a name change response from them in less than 12 hours.
Needs both parties to confirm the sale/purchase by email back to PC, this can take some time and is out of PC's control.

After reading this thread I expected a much more frustrating situation Ha, ha yep they do seem to get bad press. Never had any probs so can't complain so often surprised myself. Could be some pieces and where their coming from creates delays likewise some may have had a few owners who did not change details etc so the history becomes a bit grey. Hence the delays. |

Ouch indeed. That usually happens if the ownership trail is unclear or if some of the information you have entered is inaccurate. Happened to me a couple of years back. And the moral of the story is only buy a Banksy print if it comes with Pest Control Certification! Less hassle...

Anyone gone down this road before willing to shed some lights on now long they will hold the work for In my case it took roughly a month between them receiving it and me getting it back. But then again I am on the other side of the Atlantic ocean. The people at Pictures On Walls/Pest Control were always very nice and helpful. Even though the authentication process took a bit of time they always answered my emails promptly and clearly. Actually authenticating the piece took very little time. It's the handling and packing and shipping that's a bitch! |
