With all due respect - it wouldn't be hard for someone to fake Dora's hand writing. Let alone an expert forger.

I can't see much point in getting into a debate over its' validity on here. We've all seen that this has become the respected and expected standard for those older prints which change hands. I'd suggest that if there's no original proof of purchase available for the print you may have a tough time as the seller getting a fair price, without having a POW/PC certificate. It would seem that rip off or not, it's most probably in your best interests. If you have genuine suspicion that the print is not originally from the numbered run, then it may make sense to try and avoid prov', but otherwise all the arguments are pro imo.

if it's an olden day banksy that you bought ages ago i'm presuming it contains profit?
for the sake of ยฃ50, get a certificate & you'll be able to sell it for more than you would have without it

i put in a couple a while back, three days apart, and there were about 30 submitted (based on the numbers given) during that time so i'd imagine that it isn't going to be quick.
i just wondered how long it is taking at the moment.

If you dont intend to sell the prints now then chill they'll get round to them I guess, if you need it to sell then drop her a line and ask nicely??

i have no plans whatsoever to sell, i just wanted some piece of mind over prints that i have bought on the secondary market. happy to sit back and chill but i'll need to keep some money in the piggy bank for authentication just in case they get in touch.
