I’m thinking machine done. The signatures look identical. No they don’t? Look at the y I think its optically looks different, but if you look closely at the other lettering, they are identical. Including, the small dot at the end of the 'K' and the thicker part of the 'B' (top part) |

They are different. Look at the top of the ‘a’. One is straight, the other is more curved.
It isn’t that strange that B signed a few thousand spraycans, is it?

White color wont cover black so nicely unless its oil paint, not acrylic. They could have left a spot in a screen for white, but it wont make sense from a prouductive point of view. done for today. have a good night. I don't think it's printed on black paper. It's very possible that white paper, was given first a cream background layer (leaving space for the crowns). Then black is applied with the ferris wheel and people design, also leaving space for the crowns. This would give the illusion of white being applied later, but it's really a kind of trick.
It is also possible that a very opaque white is printed on top of the black, but as mentioned by Andy 123 this can be problematic as printing paints / medium have a degree of translucency, and can be difficult to appear solid on top of a dark layer.
Or it's not a screen print - does it say it somewhere .. not been paying attention.

Loved it, though I wish they used museum glass as my silly mug was reflected in a lot of my photos. Should have hung around until after dark but the constant smell of KFC was making me too hungry. The Banksquiat print was a lot nicer in person than I expected. Looks like a matte finish. Whether that is the case for the edition remains to be seen I guess. Wonder what a black/grey "board" means?

Looking at the bottom edge (just under the fence) it's clear that it's the black and white that has been printed, my guess is that he's used MIXO ink, it's a cross between water-based and Plasticol, will sit and not bleed a lot nicer on card. He/they/POW previously tried using Plastisol on the Grin-Reaper piece but the fine detail, paper and lack of thinning agent led to a messy print. Seems they're printing using techniques used by old members of the team that are now flying solo, same as my (way) earlier comment about him spraying directly on the acetate/film and burning the print directly from that. |
