BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by pellets on Nov 11, 2019 18:20:03 GMT 1, This is from the T&Cs:
“To ensure that we have fairly administered the allocation of buyers, limited details (such as surname, country and county) of people whose applications to register an interest are successful (together with their answers to the tiebreaker question) may be made available to the Advertising Standards Authority.”
If you’ve got a beef about the lottery why dont you take it up with the Advertising Standards Authority?

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Deleted on Nov 11, 2019 19:09:33 GMT 1, Thank you for your rather aggressive DM. All you've done really is prove my point.
On page 306, bers - a newbie - said someone had won a flower thrower limited edition print (it was not his photo so I assume he hadn't actually won it himself), whatilike had won a Bansquait and so had quixote. On page 308 someone on twitter said they'd won an unlimited edition can but there was nothing in that to suggest that it was won by a forum member. So that's two established forum members confirmed as each having won a limited edition Banksquait print from an edition of 500. As Meatloaf once said, two out of 500 ain't bad.
How does any of that support the view that editioned originals were won by established members on here? I don't mean to be patronising or rude at all, but do you know what an editioned original is...?
I stand by the view that there is nothing to show that editioned originals have been won by any established members on here, or the general public. The editioned originals more than likely only went to those on the preferred clients list (even if they were established members on here keeping it on the low down) and anyone else was wasting their time applying. The Tony Tiger rug that was allocated prior to the draw being made completely supports that.
GDP have openly said they're vetting applicants and I'm sure as I can be that the vetting process involves identifying all their preferred clients. Do you really think that Team Banksy would want to put editioned originals into unknown hands that will probably stick them into auction the first chance they get? I doubt it.
IMHO it was misleading of GDP to advertise editioned originals as being accessable to everyone. The unlimited items, and a portion of the limited editioned prints, do appear to have been available to win.
Don't get angry about me making a point. I understand that that's the best way to manage Banksy's market and I'm not bitter about not having made the preferred clients list. I'm on board with all that. But misleading general applicants into wasting their one entry on an editioned original they never stood any chance of winning? If that's what has happened, then that's really not right is it...
I have the opportunity to buy the thrower triptych, I’ve been on here for 2 years so not long standing but also I didn’t sign up just to post that I won. I also consider myself a member of the public as I don’t have any gallery or artist contracts. Just an average bloke working far too many hours trying to make ends meet. Your theory is disproven. Thank you.
Boom. Lovely. That is an incredible print. I have no doubt that this is being handled very well. Lots of new buyers with a new Banksy.

All confirmations being seen are 100 percent legitimate. Well - unless someone has photoshopped it! The confirmation email is legit though. There seems to be a concerted effort to put ‘a lot’ of work into new hands.

Noob here 🙋🏻♂️ Basicly an Original, made in a series. For example the Axe or the Stab Vest are originals, but there are 5 of each made. (guessing)
In graffiti art you also have HPM - Hand Painted Multiples. Which comes rather naturally from using stencils. It's a way of reproducing an image. So you can have a hand painted Original, while 10 or 20 are painted. Usually each one is unique with some variations.

Yeah fair enough, just when I'm buying something I buy it in the currency my account is in. Probably excited people just smashing in their details not caring about the currency 🤣

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by mojo on Nov 11, 2019 20:10:54 GMT 1, Surely there has to be more to come? I would have thought that since its for chawittty there would be 1000's of t'shirts, cans, mugs ...unlimited stuff so as to make loadsa money for the refugee's, wasn't that the point of it all? Its hardly gonna effect his market even if there are 350,000 mugs or GWB T'shirts out there since you can buy rip offs down any high street market all over the globe. Or was it just the welcome doormats that went to refugee's?

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by narad123 on Nov 11, 2019 20:53:06 GMT 1, With the 'unlimited' items - as there looks to be virtually nil released -is it conceivable that a handful where made initially, e.g the 5 spraycans in the shop window - and GDP wanted to see what the demand was like before outsourcing it? No better way than to advertise them as unlimited, receive 100k applications... then sell the contract to a third party to produce them as 'licenced' products at £10 a pop. Banksy for the masses and nails the Trademark thing.
if not, begs the question why call them unlimited in the first place - when he could have said 5 and asked £500 per each?

As for order numbers these would tie up with invoices etc and generate in a systematical way. So would make sense to just go in order.

Very much doubt this is what he is doing. Also he wouldn’t decide what to charge for something when he wouldn’t know the cost to produce - doesn’t really makes sense. We all know what the demand for it would be.
