BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by yugio on Nov 11, 2019 21:25:31 GMT 1, I stand by the view that there is nothing to show that editioned originals have been won by any established members on here, or the general public.........But misleading general applicants into wasting their one entry on an editioned original they never stood any chance of winning? If that's what has happened, then that's really not right is it... [/p][/quote]
Ummm, I’m a member of the public and am not on any lists and we were selected to purchase the thrower.
You’ll have to wait for proof (i.e. when it arrives) as I will not be posting anything that could jeopardise the transaction.
It’s going to look “mint” next to my Modern Toss 2001 Space Argument print.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by seamusdorey on Nov 11, 2019 22:23:32 GMT 1, Congratulations on your incredible luck.
I have just one question, out of curiosity and a few members have previously alluded to the possibility. Was there a Non-Disclosure Agreement attached to the conditions of your purchase?
Thanks 😊

Thanks yugio and congratulations on the win. No need for any proof. It’s not the editioned originals I’ve been contesting as having not been made available to the public but you’ve reinforced my point.
Welcome to the forum. I have Space Arguments #2 and #4. My kind of humour alright.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by goodfish on Nov 11, 2019 22:49:14 GMT 1, With the 'unlimited' items - as there looks to be virtually nil released -is it conceivable that a handful where made initially, e.g the 5 spraycans in the shop window - and GDP wanted to see what the demand was like before outsourcing it? No better way than to advertise them as unlimited, receive 100k applications... then sell the contract to a third party to produce them as 'licenced' products at £10 a pop. Banksy for the masses and nails the Trademark thing. if not, begs the question why call them unlimited in the first place - when he could have said 5 and asked £500 per each? Rich art collectors and flippers would have been attracted to the limited items as they would be the most exclusive and valuable. Lowly proles who just wanted a bit of Banksy would go for the cheaper unlimited items due to budget restraints and the misplaced belief that they would get one 'cos it says 'unlimited', innit.
I think ol' Banksy maybe did a flip-reverse, so the unlimited are actually very much limited and come with the print the can was used to create.
PS. Every old-time forum member in the history of the internet believes that things were better when this was nowt but green fields. However, I'm with Chaucer when it comes to language, and it can be applied here too.

XS Tee could easily be an XS Canvas

Don’t believe a word they’ve said. There was no pre raffle

If people stuck to the rules (apply for one item per household), then you would think the number of people applying for the can and the T-shirt would actually be lower than the more exclusive items like the Thrower, Banksquiat, etc.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Rubberneck on Nov 12, 2019 0:13:26 GMT 1, What I think we’ll see is that the unlimited items will be unlimited, it will take some time but it’s just at a slower pace and not shite plastic products imported in from where ever. As it says on gdp all will be made in the artist studio. Banksy is certainly very good at creating massive hype and driving huge demand for a limited supply. The unlimited nature of the the cans etc is a compromise for the trademark dispute ... it doesn’t stop him from making everyone wait f**kin ages for it. Might be worth reading what he says about copyright in wall & piece again to see how much he’s had to change due to this dispute.

I see this as a comment on insatiable consumerism ... savour the wait, enjoy the experience.. the quality will be bad but it will be banksy bad so it’s good.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by chefd on Nov 12, 2019 1:23:12 GMT 1, I think it will be a 5 month dribble out as the site says.
The site did state it promises to be a disappointing retail experience, especially if you purchase something.
So dreams of paying £10 for a can and receiving a print are way off the mark in my opinion, though it would be funny.
Oh, and unlimited probably means unlimited. Just so long as you applied before the window shut... which means it is limited by time, not by number.

Yeah maybe but the good thing about my theory is that by the time your unlimited t shirt arrives it’s that it will be from the first round of gdp purchases, which will be probably different to the 2nd round, so it will be ‘unlimited’ only to the amount of orders that were fulfilled in the first round. So you should be happy that you made the right choice going for an unlimited item as you’ll get something (*subject to T&C’s / time windows etc.) in the long game these will have a massive bump in value due to the massive hype, slow and limited supply etc and they protect the trademark.. maybe the twist is that Banksy already owns fullcolourblack and it’s all just a massive ruse lolz

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by drip on Nov 12, 2019 1:43:01 GMT 1, This is not a critique of anything that anyone's doing or saying (that's my calloused ass covered) but less well-off people, and those on a tighter budget, were always going to go for the cheap unlimited items though yeah? Why wouldn't you make more of them than the expensive limited stuff? If any of this stuff was going to be "secretly" limited, why do it to the cheapo "unlimited stuff"? Why kick poorer people right in their hopeful nutsacks? I don't think that's anyone's style and I don't think this is over by a long way.
I'll be honest, I've had a drink this evening and I may come back and delete this or heavily edit it into some sort of poem or love letter to Adam Bloom at some point.
Edit: My spelling fcking rocks when I'm drunk. That ain't right.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by goodfish on Nov 12, 2019 1:47:21 GMT 1, I think it will be a 5 month dribble out as the site says. Yeah, good points. So we think a can is a can? Makes sense...
But if all of us who went for an unlimited item get what we want, where's the disappointment we were promised? I'd want my money back...

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by goodfish on Nov 12, 2019 1:49:39 GMT 1, Yeah, I get what you're saying, but I just don't think a 5-year dribble-out of tacky merchandise is on the cards. So you should be happy that you made the right choice going for an unlimited item as you’ll get something (*subject to T&C’s / time windows etc.) in the long game these will have a massive bump in value due to the massive hype, slow and limited supply etc and they protect the trademark.. maybe the twist is that Banksy already owns fullcolourblack and it’s all just a massive ruse lolz I like all the things you say here.

I think the whole disappointing retail experience, especially for winners, is that they are not Amazon and product won't be thrown over your fence in 2 days time. I think teh disappointment will be you get exactly what you paid for. A house brick with handles, a TV that doesn't work, second hand t-shirts that have been tagged in a random size.
I am obviously wondering what the disappointment is for the prints.

Limiting the amount of the unlimited items would be tough on the poor ol' beggars. Maybe what chefd said is right about the unlimited items being only limited by time rather than amount.
I'm not even drunk, but I'm pretty sure none of that made any sense. Maybe I was being cryptic?

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Rouen Cathedral on Nov 12, 2019 2:06:59 GMT 1, If Wiz were here, he wouldn't let talk of a 5-month dribble go without some sort of sexual or medical innuendo. Pretend he said something.
When’s the last time wiz was here?
Pretty sure he was before my time. What about you?
