BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Deleted on Feb 12, 2021 16:11:48 GMT 1, Banksquait has been sold a couple of times at auction and few privately through galleries for up to c.£150k. The Banksy market overall has increased by 20% historically (aside from last year) so I struggle with the concept that the print will be worth less in the future with a COA than hs already been acheived, as for a start there will be more willing buyers once it is issued and I cannot think of an example where that has happened in any market? The non raffle ones Banksquaits started at over £35k+ so its a different position to Donuts or Sale Ends V2.0, as they already have a premium. But what I do think will happen is the historical prints will catch up and will increase in value more quickly than Banksquait to narrow the gap but there will always be a premium as the market will always resent paying others the large increases in profit for short term holdings! So in the next 12-18 months I would see it being worth £200k+ in the same way I see Donuts being worth £150k and Sale Ends V2.0 over £100k. Just my view as I said!! Fair comments. I didn't even know the VIPs existed.
Who knows what will happen... no one was prepared for the 2020 explosion, you may be correct with your prediction?

I don't think so, I think the gallery will have just netted off the introductory fee that will have been available/payable. Most artists pay something to introduce clients, regardless of their following and status!

gallery mates got banksquiat for 20k from source. i know others too. no fee was removed or anythin of the like, and dont reckon anyone who got the banksy private from source was being introduced for the first time

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by tab1 on Feb 12, 2021 18:48:04 GMT 1, Same as the clown thread regarding prices , how anyone has any idea how the market is going to react when the coa is issued and these come to market ? with a pandemic effecting all markets These items will only gauge a real idea of worth after COas are released and a years worth of sales to review. The initial first few that come to market will mostly be a manipulated sale. All speculation until then

Did anyone ever catch glimpse of one in the wild?

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by chefd on Feb 12, 2021 22:17:35 GMT 1, I've been told by a very reliable source that the VIP GDP sales were at various prices for the same pieces. What one person was offered, and at what price they were offered at, varied from person to person.
Take with a pinch of salt.... but from what I have seen, I'd put a LOT of money on this being true.

Differing Prices sold to each customer was Based on the value of the buyers car when they arrived at pow hq 😁

Print is grey as a shark. Not an oceanic whitetip shark - those are brownish.....

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by artdelight on Feb 14, 2021 0:50:59 GMT 1, I am sorry if this has been discussed before and wasn’t sure where to post this (so also posted this to the Artwork Valuation and GDP thread). I also realize that no one knows the answer yet because none of pieces of hit the market, but I wanted to get your opinion on the secondary market prices of the following GDP pieces: - Flower Thrower Print - Basquait (Grey / Black) - Rat Clock - Met Ball - Drones (Duck and Cover) - Early Learning Set - Spray Can Which piece(s) do you think will be worth the most? Are the prints worth more than the sculpture pieces like the Clock and Ball in the long run? Thanks in advance for your opinion and info! - Cate

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by artdelight on Feb 14, 2021 0:57:48 GMT 1, So... according to the opinions on the Banksquiat value, we can easily compare these to the Donut prints (2 editions of 299). That either puts the donuts in a £200k + value, or brings the Banksquiat down to £90k value. I would go for the latter. in my humble and unbiased opinion Banqsquiat is worth €800k, therefore mine at €140k is a steal.
I believe u are right, give it 5 years.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by artdelight on Feb 14, 2021 1:00:01 GMT 1, Anyone who believes there are 600 Banksquiats out there will likely end up disappointed Edition size and the number sold are not related I would also suggest image , size and medium all impact value In the same way that the unlimited GDP items may well only have 5 items actually sold this edition size is the maximum that the artist can print and sell not how many he actually chooses to As someone who has had the time to study both in person I don’t believe you can compare a screen print on paper like sale ends with a Banksquiat Personal opinion as always although the principle that GDP item edition sizes do not reflect the actual numbers sold is pretty accurate
You are correct. They are two different quality pieces and there werent 600 pieces for a lottery, a lot less.

sale showing such - original ask and still nothing shown.... how about instead of dumbing down and changing up my original ask, let’s broaden the ask to show me a sale for any of the GDP - met ball, pillows, drones, w.e., for above 100k as you have mentioned.
You clearly own some GDP items and are trying to hype this up to the moon. You must also believe the paint cans are 100k too...
