BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by withnail69 on Oct 7, 2019 10:23:00 GMT 1, Visited the site earlier and this loaded for a second. I was thoroughly disappointed.
How can you like Banksy and mock Massive Attack? There's literally a Massive attack flame in this exhibit that you would pay thousands for just cause it has the banksy label.
Maybe Banksy was at the appalling MA gig in bristol where the band openly trolled the crowd whilst we froze to death. Worse gig I've ever been to

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by withnail69 on Oct 7, 2019 10:39:10 GMT 1, There’s something about this that is off. Banksy likes to f**kwith people. It’s all a giant game. Think about the stall he set up in NY selling real canvases. The letter the company posted is just so weird. Yeah I think the legal case is BS just to keep himself current.

They can't even manage an invisible frame with an email address in it so I wouldn't hold your breath. I think site will be open and then will do down with traffic after a few people get to buy stuff

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by wakeskater on Oct 7, 2019 12:06:02 GMT 1, With pc now involved in sales with the secondary market wonder if they will release old stock posters now they have reached supposedly £5k+? also would make a fair profit if the remaining v2 sales ends are sold at market value as some people previously discussed and think the whole edition of 500 was not released?! they would make a killing with the ultimate vault sale! This is an interesting point I think about Pest Control sales. Are they sourcing prints to then sell on without actually owning anything the way some criticised galleries do or have they been buying up Banksy prints to eventually sell off at a profit? Or are they selling prints that have been kept back for the previously said ‘ultimate vault sale’? The same thing Graffiti Prints gets a lot of stick for.
I could be completely off the mark but. . . When filling out the PC form for Sale Ends V2 there was a selection box for people to select if they were interested in selling their Banksy.
PC may simply contact owners who selected that option when someone request to buy a particular print. I’m sure they may even charge a fee for facilitating this transaction.
That’s just my assumption as I honestly know nothing.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Rouen Cathedral on Oct 7, 2019 12:55:29 GMT 1, Agreed, further, when taking each work as a singularity on its own, it is easy to find it simple minded and shallow. However when examining the body of his work what you discover is a narrative that is not shallow, but rather a story arch that encompasses both art and activism. The author is looking at Banksy through a simple artistic lens, when reality is, Banksy is in many ways an idea. For this reason i believe it is important that his identity remain hidden. As an idea he can be both cause and effect, artist and activist. Now i am rambling...
But here’s the thing should a viewer of banksy Art really need to be familiar with his whole oeuvre?
Street art is meant for the public and to expect them to understand where the work falls in with the rest is pretty absurd.
There’s no doubt his single pieces can stand on their own on a lot of cases. And that’s why some of the fall short and fail and can appear quite simplistic.

Full Colour Black also claim within their Facebook 'defence' that they only reproduce photographs of public Banksy graffiti...

At the end of the day Full Colour black is le raison d'etre and banksy's muse for this exhibit. They had the idea of creating a business that's entire focus is the specialization of the commercialization of street art. So who stole from whom? Plus they've been a fraud of a greeting card company for a month and been related to Banksy since 2007 with brandilism? So who's who and who?
Plus they are still somehow remaining open during all of this, responding to emails quickly and are only a 3 man company?
Its' always best to own both sides of the fence when attempting a stunt like this.
Put me down for 3 cards with the free shipping.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by churchwood on Oct 7, 2019 15:35:36 GMT 1, was there 2PM Thursday - pretty quiet - no queues, you could dip in and out of whichever window you wanted to look at - sometimes had to step out the way as people would pose for a photo with the windows in the background but in general it was much quieter than I thought it would be. a good few brown coated security milling around but it was very laid back and not the scrum I was expecting

In seriousness, it was so people could pass by the several windows, rather than it being a bunfight.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Skinner on Oct 7, 2019 15:56:31 GMT 1, Was there this lunch from 12.50-1.10 - not many people at all - I think the queue was due to the weekend
Was able to see it all up close with no rush, go to whatever window I wanted, even spoke to the security staff who thought I was a reporter with all the questions I was asking! (I said if I was a reporter then I'm a sh*t one as am a week late reporting it!)
Go and enjoy (although daylight reflection hinders a bit). You see so many things the photos don't show - totally missed the corrugated iron curtains - may make some for myself at home and pretend I got them when the online shop goes live.
