Banksy Keep It Real canvas at Sothebys, by irl1 on Oct 4, 2019 13:04:56 GMT 1, Another strong result for Banksy £337k for the “Keep It Real” canvas at Sotheby’s, fantastic small canvas. Someone did well buying the Heavy Weaponry canvas last week at Sotheby’s for £125k. Anyone else feel his originals have been good value compared to prints? Maybe that has changed given the recent auction results.
Why pay 100k + for one of the prints when you can have a canvas at that price

That’s true. I look at it as signed with a stenciled tag, and they have Pest Control , that the most important thing. Many Warhol canvases aren’t signed and they sell for several million, look at some of the flower and dollar sign canvases which are multiple.

The reason I didn't buy a Paranoid Pictures canvas at Santa's Ghetto was because it seemed expensive and unsigned, so bought an unsigned print instead... Doh!

Banksy Keep It Real canvas at Sothebys, by aki on Oct 4, 2019 14:07:04 GMT 1, I can remember when these small canvas were for sale for £300 and they’d hang around for a while too. £300 was expensive for me then hence saving £75 each time I brought an unsigned print instead of signed.
