Banksy Basquiat Print, Gross Domestic Product™, by kc on Aug 27, 2020 16:54:00 GMT 1, Shame I really wanted this, but 65,000 was my max and seems I was outbid, £70,000 is the next bid.
With the added premium makes it bit too rich for me to want to bid anymore.

Banksy Basquiat Print, Gross Domestic Product™, by Amber Halo on Aug 27, 2020 17:17:21 GMT 1, For what its worth.. the COA's for any Banksy work really are a big thing.. and anyone who will spend £50k plus on a trail of e mails and similar is bonkers.. be that today or ten years down the line. There is a reason that COA's are produced, managed and authenticated.. Completely agree with you re COA not being a big deal in this sort of scenario. I think this forum is wayyy too hung up on COA's. Clearly they are a good thing but it's not the end of the world without. Imagine a vast percentage of the GDP products don't get COA's for whatever reason, they'll still stand up in auction with decent history and paper trail. I know many will disagree... but hey! I didn’t hear anyone getting burned on the Sale Ends v2 in a similar situation, except perhaps the sellers letting go too cheaply. To each their own on areas of risk, I suppose.

With the added premium makes it bit too rich for me to want to bid anymore. wait it out, imo. there are 300 of each colorway. like 100 of each are probably still waiting to go onsale via bbay or PCO. and half of the ones that already went onsale will pop up at auction over the next few months because people need money.
or buy the bethlehem trolleys which is literally over 10x rarer. surprised that's sitting there.

Interestingly, there is an UNsigned Happy Chopper (edition of 750) with bids at £46k (=£61.6k with fees if a UK buyer) in the Tateward auction also....which relatively speaking makes the Banksquiat still look about right - crazy I know. 🤨
Agree

It’s your expectations, the reality is that prices are rising steadily since 2008

Aren't we supposed to buy what we like not what's rare? both. i think that's how collectors items/art editions work.
'trolleys' image vs. 'banksquiat' image is no contest imo, but that's a matter of opinion.
i don't own either fwiw.

With the added premium makes it bit too rich for me to want to bid anymore. Interestingly, there is an UNsigned Happy Chopper (edition of 750) with bids at £46k (=£61.6k with fees if a UK buyer) in the Tateward auction also....which relatively speaking makes the Banksquiat still look about right - crazy I know. 🤨 Its very unclear but the description says signed
