I saw the Malboro Lights packet which look good. Have you displayed them in any particular way or just put them on a shelf/jacket pocket or small kitchen drawer? I'm considering buying a porn mag and guessing it'd look good framed up - if i could avoid damaging the felt. It would be the first porn mag i havn't found in a bush.

Art Basel • Miami, Hong Kong, Paris, by Black Apple Art on Dec 11, 2015 11:32:07 GMT 1, Thanks BA. Just seeing that Shin piece cheered me up! Love Inti amd Sepe's work too. Was definitely one of the better years for sure. Discovered some amazing new artists and always great to meet up and hang with the ones you already know. Nice pic of a night out with Snik, Whatson and company.

I have two lucky strikes, one a packet of 20 amd one a packet of 10. And I have a packet of 10 B&H. The Malborogh were sold out when I bought them. I just have them on a shelf. I'm fond of them. Porn mag sounds good!

Art Basel • Miami, Hong Kong, Paris, by met on Dec 14, 2015 16:04:44 GMT 1, [...] [...] Thanks for posting. I've not seen the above painting before.
From the poor composition and curious rock-like shapes at the base, would it be correct to assume this was cut out from some wall and is being sold without a Pest Control COA?
Also, do you know what the image on the sandwich board represents?
[At first, I thought it was a biohazard symbol, or part of an old stencil being recycled (the descending mechanical claw with DJ below), but that doesn't seem to be the case.]

Art Basel • Miami, Hong Kong, Paris, by Unica on Dec 14, 2015 17:25:05 GMT 1, That video installation is super creepy Black Apple Art ! I do wonder whether the Banksy you posted and the pink one below was issued with a COA... I saw the two Banksy pieces and asked the gallery owner if they had Pest Control COA and he told me they did, I didn't actually see them. He was asking $1.2mil for the Copper and $850k for the Laugh Now Chimp.

I believe with PC authentication. All of those red clay/dry wall works come from the after party installation from Existencilism back in '02. Visually, I love that pink happy copper but that price is moronic.

I wonder if any one here has informations about shows or events that I should go. I never go myself, but this year I consider to make the trip. Does any one plan to go ?
Thanks for your replies.

Art Basel • Miami, Hong Kong, Paris, by sin on Dec 5, 2016 19:18:21 GMT 1, Got in late this year as I was traveling with my family, so only was able to get in for Thursday - Sunday. Didnt hit every fair this year largely due to that.
Scope | Untitled | Pulse | Aqua also a few studio visits, a pop up or 2 and the Juxtapoz thing.
Thursday Studio visit with Reinier Gamboa, David Olivera, Juan Traviseo, and Adrian Avila
Rei is working on a new body of work so I didnt grab pics. Juan is working on something that will be HUGE in 2017, but also didnt get shots out of it because he cant release info. David has a big show coming up at Bernarducci Meisel Gallery. Great photo realistic painter who focuses on boats, water, and sky in his pieces. Working on a mural with Juan in Wynwood right now.

Adrian is working on a body of work in conjunction with a book release by his benefactor. The leap in quality of these pieces vs his prior work is astounding. My running joke is I want to know how he's finding the babies to sacrifice because the work has had a techtonic shift that is massive.
Saturday Scope For the last 4 or 5 years Scope has been my show, what I collect, in my price point, guaranteed to present some great works and new exciting artists. Much like the Dolphins this weekend, Scope broke their win streak. This years fair was a yard sale, horribly curated, and by far my low light of the weekend. There were clear highlights, but the step down from that to the rest of the show was a chasm and I was utterly dissapointed.

Untitled Every year I love this fair a little more. It always challenges me. The work is outside my comfort zone and I always find something that really inspires me to dig deeper. This year, at the same booth as my favorite from last year, a beautiful piece made of fly vomit... yep. Untitled by Craig ONeil, on Flickr
My favorite find of the weekend (more from them later) Lavar Monroe Untitled by Craig ONeil, on Flickr

Art Basel • Miami, Hong Kong, Paris, by Rochebm on Nov 19, 2017 18:30:30 GMT 1, Hi, I’ll be heading to Miami in a few weeks for Basel. It’s my first time attending and was hoping for insight from others who’ve been. Any shows in particular I should check out? Do I need to purchase tickets in advance or can I buy at the door? Or, anything else you might think helpful. Thanks.

It's basicly a whole neighborhood soaked in spraypaint. Wynwood, around 20th street I believe. Everywhere artists painting huge walls. I've seen Ben Eine and some others paint there.
I would go there the first days, so most artists are still painting. I was a bit late. Great atmosphere, only traffic and parking is a b!tch.

Art Basel • Miami, Hong Kong, Paris, by conor2l on Nov 20, 2017 2:34:53 GMT 1, Im going to be there as well, there are shows within the art basel "show" such as context and pulse on miami beach at indian park. You buy tix to both of those, i dont think pre sale is needed but dont quote me on that. Those shows are filled with galleries from all over the world and the artists they rep. Lots of great parties that week as well which is a nice addition to great art.

Art Basel • Miami, Hong Kong, Paris, by trueblue on Nov 20, 2017 3:04:26 GMT 1, I've gone the past 5 years (and going again this year) and have really enjoyed the Scope, Context / Art Miami, and Pulse shows. These shows tend to have more things in my interest (and price range).
I'd also recommend the Basel show at the convention center; it's an experience seeing works by Rothko, Picssso, etc up for sale. It's also where the major galleries like Gagosion set-up shop. You can buy tickets when you walk-in, no need to buy in advance (most shows are $30-$50 for a day pass). There are also shuttles that run between the shows, I'd recommend these or an Uber versus driving yourself.
As Dive Jedi noted above Wynwood is awesome. There's lots of street parties going on in the evenings. Check out Wynwood Walls and the Juxtapoz pop-up shops too. Cool place to just walk around. Wynwood Yard is a food truck park that has some good food and cool vibe.
If you're staying near the beach, Broken Shaker at the Freehand is a great place to grab a drink, super chill, laid back vibe.

I’ll probably try and make it to scope, pulse, and context if I have enough time. I only have 3 full days and I’m not sure how long it takes to walk each of the shows.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
