Damn if mine wasn't already at the framer I'd have copied this exact look. I love it! Ugh, I'm wishing I'd gone this route.

This is excellent.
Mine has been in box for what feels like a year as haven’t seen a way of framing it that I like but this is fantastic. Feels like how it might have been framed if it was on the wall in GDP shop, really reminds me of that and retains message at the same time.

I sold my first batch and bought one from a later that i liked the look of more. I think the one i framed was from 3rd batch. |

Got my mat framed and I’m quite happy with it I agree this hides the buckles, but I think the "drip" of the life jacket adds back in the emotion and drama of the overall piece. I think we can tell from the reaction this is a top notch way to display this piece. |

I think it's a very good way of framing it
Changes it completely, is it a mat? is it a life vest mat? No, it's a framed bit of artwork that says 'Welcome'
i like the way the zip hangs down too.

Very difficult to frame this neatly with the straps visible. Even the best framing examples with the straps visible look odd. The straps worked on the GDP original because they were attached in a way that created a border for the mat. On the retail ones you just get some plastic buckles poking out of the corners.
Reckon Law23 made exactly the right choice hiding them. Loses none of the power of the piece - arguably, just the 'Welcome' visible makes it more impactful - and this is the first one I've seen I can actually imagine having on the wall. Almost definitely going to copy it.

Yes, very difficult to frame neatly with the straps and buckles visible. Some straps were even longer than the others which makes it even more difficult. I also didn’t want to put the work under glass/acrylic as I want to be able to touch and feel the work even though it is on the wall.
Here’s a photo of the mat at my framers as I was toggling with ideas and this just looked the cleanest to me. I tried to imagine how banksy would frame it and this is my interpretation 😂

I went for visible straps, with a first tiny gold frame and black frame additionally and no glass.
I also really liked how it turned out and had been thinking a lot on the best framing option!
It is good to see many different decisions and I guess it is helping for the people who are still considering on how to do their framing on those mats!

The mat is from the first batch ( official GDP drop ) numbered within the 400s. Number is handwritten.
