How do you buy 5 without a tag? Or put differently: how does anybody remove and obviously throw away the tag in the first place?

I don't think they have thrown away the tags, as that would be daft. They are talking about the tags that are not sewn on the back of the mat.

Now that it’s sold if anyone else with a sewn tag wants to trade for 2 welcome mats without a sewn on tag then I’m up for a trade.
Sorry for interrupting the original post, just thought seller could keep one and also sell one at the same time.
I understand the first batch fetches a higher price but everyone seems to say there’s no difference.
I don’t have a first batch but understand they fetch a higher price unlike others who seem to think they’re all the same.

No, I just ordered a sheet of stamps which I'm not sure I'll receive, and if you follow the thread they will be hard to get.
I don't have the money to buy double or triple, and if I had it I would buy, for the most attractive artwork, double, maybe then triple - not sure - but to resell, like my situation is tense. I am happy to get one already !
In the past, a very long time ago, when artworks were cheaper, yes I had tats (mostly) or books (Invader in 3 ex.) in several copies, but not all at the same time.
Anyway, you do what you want, 600 £ and the difficulty of obtaining mats, just caught my attention. But no doubt it is easier for you! I'm not jealous or envious, as I told you, I imagined a pile of mats in the corner of a bedroom, for example, and it makes me smile, kindly. Have a good day !
