GLWS original poster. Itโs beautifully framed. I believe the Welcome Mat as a piece will be worth a lot in future. Truly thought provoking and of historical relevance (one of the most political/morally challenging issues of our time).

How many are there now 2500?,
As to how much it would rise, not hugely I suspect, the banksy market has spiked and peaked, fuelled by cheap credit and a greedy bill rush,, the like weโre not likely to see again,
So as with most things, if you like it, buy it. And donโt worry about future value so much, youโll enjoy it a lot more

You'd prefer one of 5000 mats made by a third party than one (two) of very few cushions that have been hand-sprayed by Banksy?
To be fair, I have both and it's a lot easier to display the mat.

Always liked them. Really like the framing too, best I've seen.
I would also reiterate Acmethunderer's post about the seller, have dealt with Mr Majestic not so long ago, would definitely recommend to say the least.
All the best with the sale.

Every mat, whether from the first batch or last batch will be slightly different as handmade by different people.

There was a discussion about this a few months back. I think it comes down to what you (want to) believe: some see them as more valuable because they're the "first/ original run", others see them as the first 500 of the same edition.
I personally view it as one edition, but I think that prices reflect the fact that the first batch is somewhat more desirable.
