I have seen some pictures of what I believe are genuine spray cans from Insta and online but these also look different. I may be wrong (and if so I apologise to OP) and there may be a lot of variation between authentic cans but who in their right mind would take that chance given the sums involved. For me there are too many red flags and shenanigans to feel comfortable with this sale. |

i could swear the cans I've seen that are for sure authentic were signed with a thinner white pen...this one seems a hair too thick. This was my first impression.

Also if it were fake why would the seller not take 5 of the best offers and sting everyone rather than holding out for the best price.?

Along with the Rat Clock was enclosed a letter (copy) which tells you something about the clock - that is the only documentation which I have with the clock - once again this was a consignment grouping of items from one collection - I personally feel it is as stated - as you know PEST CONTROL only offer certificates of authenticity for items in which they actually publish for Banksy (rather smart of them) aside from that Bansys work does not come with any certificates of any sort - I hope based upon the photos you may draw your own conclusion - let me just add that whenever I personally purchase an item I look at the collection or the home or the other items in that collection to help me make a good purchase one which I can feel confident with - in this case items from the POP Shop / Original Business Card / Original Catalog / Original Keith Haring Radio / Andy Warhols You're In Circa 1967 Sculpture and The Banksy Welcome Mat - all are a good indication that this was from a reputable collection ... The sig is totally off, the product tag is all wrong. The can colour and paint doesn’t look correctly applied. So many signs.
