Hi all,
Hope all is well. I am selling my Banksy GDP spray can. We received this directly from the GDP website when the Croydon show was on. So have all the correct emails for provenance.
It's in mint condition, still in packaging. Only opened a hand full of times. See photos attached.
Looking for £9500 for it. Which I feel is a fair price. Currently there is one on Artsy for £23000 and one was sold at auction in 2021 for £20000.
This can makes a great display piece and everyone loves talking about it when seen.
I know there has been a couple of threads on UAA before about these cans. So it would be interesting to see what the feedback is now.
Based in London and looking to sell as soon as possible.

Isn't there an agreement in place between Pest Control and the major auction houses that they won't sell Banksy works/memorabilia that don't qualify for coas?

Buyers will have to trust the seller on these, much like the boxsets. The bigger auction houses won't touch them much like the boxsets. A few got through Tate Ward but they will no longer accept them as consignments.

Another member on here got scammed also but I helped him get his money back. They met the scammer at the train station and had no info on him. I gave the member all the scammers contact details, and because of that he got refunded. When said member got his money back and it was my turn to try get my money back from the same scammer.. he completely dropped me and didn’t help at all.
It was a tough lesson losing the £5k but in the grand scheme of things I was ok, but won’t be making that mistake again.
It was a tougher lesson helping someone else out but they didn’t have the decency to help me out In return.
This member is still on here. He has never spoken to me since.
Truly astounded to this day.

I think they were meant to be open editions of sorts however it seems now that they only ever sold a few. The spray cans will always likely be worth more than certain tat like the Boxsets, Tenners, and Welcome Mats as they're signed but probably around or slightly less than most gift prints.

Even a Banksy print with coa. When people say too many fakes out there...can someone show one? The copies I have seen have been advertised as copies and are very easily identifiable - the one one ebay. £6k is a very good price if there happens to be one for that! I did have mine for sale (as someone mentioned) but won't be selling for anywhere near that. Would rather keep it. - I have lots of prov with lots of details which should give any interested party confidence. Its a fantastic piece.

Assuming the nature of the can is simply easier to make look a like the original compared to a print which would be a thousand times harder to copy if not impossible
But that story of you helping someone get their money back and dumping you Is horrible , if someone helped me like that I’d do my upmost to return the favour , bizarre and very concerning
