I know I’ve got a crappy micallef dying in a tube. I’m not drawing direct parallels but more, the first rule of art club is buy for you walls and children.

No. Tiered pricing. After a number of prints were sold prices rose. Initially, they were 4300$ they’re still available on site for 7800$
That’s a big difference and a tough pill to swallow if you’re one of the latter buyers

It's almost like CE doesn't want to save the children.
Tier 1 was around $3250 and Tier 2 was about $5200, so if Tier 2 wasn't a good price, then if someone were to buy it now would $4000 be a good price?

You have to account for the 20% off code too lol so tier 2 at 5200$ was actually 4300$
So to answer your question; Yes. Buying under 4500$ imo is a great buy. You can’t do much better than that. I only know 1 person who scored for under 4300$ inclusive of the code.

I'm not 100% on the process, but I imagine she painted straight onto the printing plates, rather than any photographic or dot screen process, but happy to be better informed!

They are awesome, classic Pensato image and a chance to own something by her. As many know there really isn't much available by her and its for a great cause supported by the artist.

Counter pricing kills secondary . Look at the Bernhardt pink panther.. £12000 is double the price of an original from source and ridiculous for a print,
The shrigleys are all sold at a loss.
This pensato is not even close to a good image and will trade at tier one pricing or lower in a few months.
The truth is FOMO in art collectors has become their downfall and played into the greedy gallery pockets ..

Nothing to do with galleries - all to do with would-be ‘collectors’ trying to make a quick buck off every release. If people did their research into an artist’s market properly before buying instead of jumping on the hype train, they might think twice before buying. Flippers getting burned is the only way they will learn - the problem is it can kill an artist’s market in the process - just ask Martin Whatson.

All so very true my learned friend. There is little thought, research or knowledge and a big ‘copy that guy, he seems to buy well’ mentality.
Flippers get burned, burn the flippers, flip the burners!
