Art News Exhibitions Museums Releases, by irl1 on Aug 18, 2020 18:27:51 GMT 1, Season one of The Mandalorian introduced a host of new characters for Star Wars fans to fall in love with, and we’ve teamed up with Todd Slater to pay tribute to one of the series’ most unlikely heroes, Kuiil!
Kuiil, portrayed by Nick Nolte, acts as a gruff shepherd to Din Djarin, helping guide him in the beginning of the series, and as one of many protectors for The Child. Todd’s character portrait of Kuiil’s lovable mug is extremely expressive, and features his catchphrase--which you’ll all be reading in his voice after seeing!
Todd’s print will be available TODAY @ 12PM ET on our homepage!
The artwork is released in conjunction with Acme Archives, the official Star Wars licensee.

Art News Exhibitions Museums Releases, by irl1 on Aug 19, 2020 18:58:25 GMT 1, We’ve received so much positive feedback from our first lenticular release, 2001: A Space Odyssey, that we decided to continue our lenticular movie poster project with the most iconic poster of the late 2000s, the ‘Why so serious?’ Joker poster from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight!
Working at a movie theatre in late 2007 and early 2008 was an exciting time, if you were geeking out over movie posters like so many of us at Bottleneck were. The Dark Knight’s media campaign centered around Heath Ledger’s legendary performance as Joker and his deceptively brilliant catchphrase--’Why so serious?’.
With promotional images, posters, and materials for the Dark Knight being so ubiquitous before the movie’s release, the image of Joker, behind a semi-opaque barrier, looking out directly at his audience, that’s us, and drawing a bloody smiley face is both shiver-inducing and thrilling, and we’re smiling from ear-to-ear to be able to release this image as an officially licensed, limited edition lenticular poster.
As a quick refresher from our previous lenticular release, we’re currently offering two versions: A thinner (1mm), flexible PET lenticular print mounted on dense paper backing. A thick lenticular print (4mm), akin to plexi-glass, called polystyrene. We call this one Lenticular Plex for differentiation. Here is a link to our full lenticular informational page.
As a special thank you for being part of our Bottlebux program, we are offering you a reserve on our new release THE DARK KNIGHT before the general public!
Quantities are limited and we also have a set option with a $15 savings available only for reserves by clicking on the button below:
