GDP & wealthy collectors, by viz on Oct 28, 2019 9:07:51 GMT 1, "Please refrain from registering at this time if you are a wealthy art collector."
Although being one of the rules, it looks it was not discussed much here, correct? So why? I believe most of the people on this forum are wealthy collectors... so it's a bit unconvenient...
So what do you think is a wealthy collector?

GDP & wealthy collectors, by orchid on Oct 28, 2019 9:21:35 GMT 1, Most people are hobbyists here, with 4-5 figure collection, some with 6 figures and and a small number with 7 figures. I suppose Banksy means the latter 1-2 categories, as to what he may deem 'wealthy'. I'm sure here can rely on that invaluable PC data to deduce who's wealthy and who regularly buys/sells.

GDP & wealthy collectors, by viz on Oct 28, 2019 9:38:07 GMT 1, Imho a 5 figure collection can be owned either by a pretty wealthy collector or be a very long time collector. People buying banksys today on secondary market are wealthy collectors, people buying counters' editions are wealthy collectors, people buying HM or Kaws prints are wealthy collectors and so on...

If you got in from 2004 then you could have got these

I’d say there’s big difference between “wealthy collectors” and most people on here, who may have disposable incomes, buy prints for a few thousand (sometimes), and lower value originals, but aren’t the guys with the huge kaws or banksy collections (although there’s a few on here!).
I have a feeling the line on GDP is more of a joke though and not something they will enforce. I think he’d like this wave of editions to go to people who can’t afford secondary prices though.

Also don’t forget about those on here who bought 5figure when they were dramatically cheaper (some on here have been collecting a long time).
