I've come up against similar attitudes when buying from private individuals! Act like they're doing you a favour, and even refuse to answer simple questions, or act like the whole thing is a massive inconvenience. Very odd! But in Dran's case not good for his reputation or his bank balance!

Why are drans “people” such d****?, by puritog on May 6, 2020 12:25:31 GMT 1, I bought Dran’s recent 7h30 print directly from Huguette - love the print and he was a pleasure to work w. I then asked about original sketches that he has at his pop-up shops. He put me in touch w some guy named Hama. I told him my range (up to $5k) and he said this was a fantasy and basically laughed. After reiterating I only wanted a sketch that were at his shows well below this range, he came back w 4. If i has to guess, these are (4) leftovers that didn’t sell for 1500-3000 - didn’t like any of them. I said let me know if he has any others and said I will definitely buy one once I find one i like. He said ‘there will never be any others’ (failed attempt at comedy #1). I emailed huguette again and basically said if he has any sketches he is willing to sell I am still interested. Hama got word and messaged me again saying Dran’s work isn’t for me and this isn’t Wal-Mart (me being unaware Wal-Mart sells sketches for $5k). I messaged back and said huguette was a pleasure to work w and will go to him for requests and called Hama a failing comic. He then proceeds to call my cell (All of his communication was in French thus far and mine English). I’ve had numerous productive conversations with Hama and hugette and have had no problems. I’ve managed to arrange for prints to be purchased no issue. They also know I’m in the market for another original soon:-)
I got one of the lottery pieces at the Paris pop up show and I was thrilled w mine! In fact I tracked another one of the small canvass down and added it to the collection as well.
Sorry to hear people are having a tough time working with them. Seems to me if you use French , are patient and not pushy you have the best odds of getting anything.
I’ve had the exact opposite experience. I’ve had numerous productive conversations with Hama and hugette and have had no problems. I’ve managed to arrange for prints to be purchased no issue. They also know I’m in the market for another original soon:-)

Sent them Private messages on Instagram which is the only contact I could find for him. I was polite and never pushy and sent them a few messages . Never once had the decency to reply. I just don’t get that style of management. He’s a great artist and I love his work but the management attitude taints this for me. I know it shouldn’t but it does. I hope he goes on to do great things but he’s lost a collector in me. I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

Why are drans “people” such d****?, by Wisconinla on May 6, 2020 18:03:48 GMT 1, I don't understand the bad experiences. I once saw Dran on the top of an overpass and shouted Salut to him. Hama and Hugette were there too. As Dran lifted his arm to wave, Hama pulled out his junk and pissed on my head. Desperate to get a painting, I opened my mouth. That's when Hugette squatted and shat downward. Needless to say, I love my Dran masterpiece and enjoy looking at it everyday. The power of art.... Its hit and miss

It’s funny ! I thought that I was the only one ( I was the first one anyway ) to denounce Huguette ( I have had morales lessons here about my comportement)’And noW a lot are following me in these bad experiences with them ! Huguettte Liked to make humiliation With me coz I dare to ask 2 stickers ?!! Wtf !
They still block me as as capriciousness babies in doretdsang Instagram ,
It’s funny because I have really good mates graffers taggers, tattoos and illustrators ( other crew ) from the same town and they Don’t know what to answer. Dran is apart there.. they are saying, “ ah Dran .. lol

I’ve had numerous productive conversations with Hama and hugette and have had no problems. I’ve managed to arrange for prints to be purchased no issue. They also know I’m in the market for another original soon:-) I got one of the lottery pieces at the Paris pop up show and I was thrilled w mine! In fact I tracked another one of the small canvass down and added it to the collection as well. Sorry to hear people are having a tough time working with them. Seems to me if you use French , are patient and not pushy you have the best odds of getting anything.
