Election to be held on 12 December , by mojo on Dec 12, 2019 12:54:01 GMT 1, A timely lesson for Election Day. Four salient truths for those thinking of voting Labour: 1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. 2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. 3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. 4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it! Another timely lesson for Election Day.
Not everybody is obsessed with money. The richest (in monetary terms) people I've ever met do very little to gain it. Most have inherited it and the others sit in a chair moving imaginary numbers around on a screen selling pretend money. The most useful members of society are more often than not the poorest yet do the most work at the expense of the richest. Imagine for a moment that money didn't exist then think about what sort of society you'd want to live in.

Election to be held on 12 December , by Bill Hicks on Dec 12, 2019 14:58:43 GMT 1, It’s happening all over South London long queues… long queues of students voting has been reported.
Many of the voters out this morning have said the lines are ‘full of young people’.
Queues like I’ve never seen before. Get out there and vote your little hearts out ♥

Election to be held on 12 December , by drip on Dec 12, 2019 15:04:16 GMT 1, You think taxing folk who earn +£80k a little more is legislating them out of prosperity? Do you think everyone is blessed with the health and ability to work and earn? Do you think tax is the government taking rather than members of society contributing? Ignorance is bliss. Q1. No. But that's not what the first point is about. Q2. No. How does that negate any of the points raised? Q3. Your best argument. However, governments do take without asking and high earners already contribute far more to the government coffers than you or I ever will. You can't promise free uni fees, free rail travel, free broadband, free everything else and then say "it's ok, the rich will pay for it all". That's not creating a 'fairer' society. Maybe think of wealth-subsidised free education, travel, broadband, etc, as an investment? An investment in the country and its people. Maybe think of it as helping to create a thriving society that benefits as many as possible? So someone born into a council estate, will have as great a chance of making the most of their life in society, (to create, inspire and be a beneficial part of a community) as a person that's born into inherited and ring-fenced wealth because their great, great, great, great, great uncle once helped a king supress a village somewhere, and was gifted land that's been hoovering up rent money for hundreds of years.
I dunno? Maybe it's not good for a society if those at the very bottom, see those at the very top creaming off the wealth, fiddling the system and taking as much as they can out of everything? Maybe those trapped in generational debt or poverty will think 'Fck it, why shouldn't I turn to crime? Why shouldn't I take what I can? Protect what's mine?
The wealthy aren't big fans of the welfare system but I can guarantee it's helped decrease the incidences of mansion-smashing and gated community looting by the poor and hungry. And if that sounds like a threat, think of it as an investment.
I remember reading some old articles once, where various rich dudes were crying their eyes out about how free education was going to harm the poor, and won't somebody please think of the poor children having to leave the safety of the farms, mills, or factories, to sit in a classroom and learn an education that they won't know what to do with.
The wealthy have always railed against those that're less well-off being given a helping hand at the "expense" of the well-off. They think nothing of acquiring wealth off of the hard work of the poor though.

Election to be held on 12 December , by moron on Dec 12, 2019 16:20:52 GMT 1, So I predict a good start for Boris Tory man in the polls.
Followed by a late surge to Labour, leading to a final result of a Labour coalition government.
Nigel Brexit Basket case will cost Tory votes and don't forget that Labour regions are rife with bloc voting areas which with the right momentum tactics enable Labour to creep into the lead.
So remember people, a vote for Labour is a vote for Marxism. With Marxist millionaires making pre-election promises to the poor and often working class.
Britain needs a good shake up, so everyone Vote Labour.

Election to be held on 12 December , by moron on Dec 12, 2019 17:35:02 GMT 1, Boris the unelected Prime Minister, if I was a cynic I would say that the EU helped him become PM and that is what the EU wanted. The reason being that the EU could have accepted Mays Brexit proposal and kept turning her down for the main reason that they wanted May to be replaced by Boris. (The guy who said he will trigger article 50 on Oct 31st if he becomes PM)
and don't underestimate Labour and their subliminal messaging. They are very clever and good at that.
Diane Abbott clearly subliminally telling people to vote left by wearing two left shoes today.
How many pre election manifesto promises will whichever party gets elected break or not keep after the election?
and which ones?
Conservative ?
Labour ?
Lib Dem ?
Other ?
A coalition government consisting of whichever parties for a coalition government ?

Election to be held on 12 December , by Nordicstar on Dec 12, 2019 20:06:55 GMT 1, I am a Swede currently living in Finland, and I must say I feel so grateful that we at least have Greta Thunberg even though she’s not an politician, and Finland’s prime minister Sanna Marin, she is the worlds youngest prime minister. I am for equality, I don’t prefer females before men, but it would be very interesting to see how the world would look like if it was run by young women for a change, hey we haven’t tried that yet, maybe it would be the solution?

But it won't happen, so i'll move on
