I think that he had to justify this waste of paste, and times, and to find fissa an excuse .. Ephemaral maybe but not so quickly.. you bet ?

I imagine the heads of the National curators as La Mairie de Paris, Les Musรฉes Nationaux etc .. ) when they saw it, already in the dustbins.
It was not a performance ( this is quick ), it was a project.
I was not ironic at all, believe me.

I'll probably just go over and see if there is anything remaining in the Louvre shop (that will at least kill a few hours in an otherwise boring business trip).

In an Instagram society, when art is properly photographed, it is ready to be disposed of.
But it was sweet watching a child playing with torn bits of paper that she had lifted from the ground. A level of interaction that you donโt get with the art inside the Louvre.

I wondered the same thing. My opinion is that it has to deal with the visual perception of the piece. The photo is horizontally composed. Reduce the vertical margins and the overall piece reads in unity.
