Ordered one. It’s a very good cause. Dementia and especially early onset dementia is pretty devestating. Saw a documentary about dementia on Dutch tv last week. Brought tears to my eyes :-(

Cheers from LonelyFarmer and me. It's not only about the good cause of course. I saved a few Tenners too because I couldn't buy the spraycan :-) It's better to give them to charity than to spend them on more Guinnesses.

Cheers from LonelyFarmer and me. I lost my father to a neurodegenerative illness. It's incredibly cruel and robs you of the person you love, one slow and agonising piece at a time. I got to watch the father I loved, die slowly and long before his body did. Leaving me wondering, on what day did my father, the man I knew, leave me? It's a weird thing, not to know precisely when your loved one has left you. And while they're in the grip of this condition, every day is different. And every morning, every interaction with them, you pray and hope that today will be one of the good days.
Funding research into treatments for these conditions is a massively worthy cause. As we (hopefully) live longer, more and more of us will experience some form of dementia. Either personally, or with relatives and loved ones. So it's not just donating to charity, it's investing in the wellbeing of all our futures.
