If you're a fan of artists in general, I also don't understand being ok with someone, even another artist, from ripping off anyone's work.
If you're an artist, losing control of your work, having someone else appropriating your art, your ideas from your own noggin, for their own financial gain or possibly evil, well it's one of the worst feelings in the world.
Almost as bad as when you've messed up a portrait commission and the guy turns up at your gaff, and he's got a baseball bat, and you're trying to quickly do a new painting while crying.

I'm not quite sure what this 'artist' is setting out to accomplish other than proving how easy it is to exploit someone else's creations for their own personal gain. Can't blame the people who support this, i guess, it's their money. but this is pretty gross all around. I remember when we had conspiracy theory chasers gobbling up releases by unknowns like Outis on the very oft chance that it was Banksy's pseudonym. this is just next level lining some conartists pockets. Good work, everyone.

Provided I haven't misunderstood, you may be relying on a false premise, i.e. the incorrect assumption that Banksy created only a single version of Girl with Balloon.
In this instance, the shameless Mrs Banksy ripoff is based on one of Banksy's more recent reworkings of the image โ as shredded during the Sotheby's London Evening Sale on 5 October 2018.
