I've been up to no good all week and created some sort of Shopify webstore to sell various housewares that masquerade as art. Please check it out if you feel like laughing at someone. The link is:
The first few items which will launch this weekend are test items, which actually do exist and can be bought. After these items, the housewares will become progressively funnier. By product 100, you may develop cancer from all of the laughing - be forewarned.
Here's the first unique product which is made of Calcined Gypsum and Neon Blue Apatite Crystals: 6th Generation Classic Discarded Junk #1
Essentially, it's a glorified paperweight.

Then you went from informative to miserable (talking everything and everyone down) to plain trolling.
I'm not sure if you realise how patronising you are constantly laughing at people and elevating yourself to some higher knowledge and taste.
I presume this "no good you've been up too...all week" is to mock the whole GDP thread and the Banksy door mat.
Why bother if you don't like it ignore it!
I may be wrong but you come across like you entered the lottery missed out and are annoyed you didn't buy one.
Then to add insult to injury you top it all off with a cancer joke.
Get yourself happy. Pause the instagram and UAA for an afternoon and get some perspective.
Focus on what you love and not what you hate. You'll be surprised what can happen.

Nearly all artists experience this initially but, in 5 or 10 years time, if you're still banging away in an ever-deeper furrow, and with the right promotion, people will eventually realise you're not just having a laugh, going through a phase, or are mentally unwell, but that you are in fact an artist. Maybe also (in time) your family will come to accept this too.
But it will take time and you might have to go hungry for a bit. x

Create about 1000 (or so?) of them, then surreptitiously (awful word to type and also understand) place one on every table in every pub in your local area. You'll lose a load of money but you're almost guaranteed to make the local newspaper, which is publicity gold and worth far more than money.

I think you misinterpreted the mat conversation. I was just questioning whether it was art or a homegood, which the gdp site said that it offered. Is the mug art or a homegood? A homegood. Is the clock a homegood or art? An expensive but a funny homegood. This is just my opinion but I think that these days, when a person has a different view than others, they take that as an attack rather than a conversation.
About the mocking, laughing at people...I thought I was doing that from the beginning? Many of the people on here deserves a little mocking, let's be honest. Most are disingenuous posts on here, hyping items for sale, hyping artists they've purchased for the flip, fake posts wanting particular artwork, or just flaunting the possession of some sort of insider information without revealing any useful inforamtion. A small few are sincere and do add release information and do have interesting conversations about art or whatnot. You gotta be able to laugh at all of this. The terrible art releases week after week, the people leaving the forum in am angry huff and returning with a new account five minutes later. It's a weird fucking place filled with weird characters. Anyway, no offense taken. I get and appreciate your perspective.
