POW website overhaul soon, by mido on Mar 12, 2006 1:01:44 GMT 1, POW are overhauling their website ASAP.
should help everyone. us, the customers. and them, POW.
The current ordering system simply lets you order until they tell the website to stop letting people order. That's why there have been the odd 'problems' with over-ordering of soup cans and J&J signed copies. It also partly explains why they might occcasionally have a few prints left that have officially been sold out (i.e. because they might have to pull the print off to prevent possible over ordering whislt they are away - e.g. in the evening or weekend).
Anyway, the new system will only allow the on-line ordering system to sell the amount of copies that they have available. And it will probably limit people to 2 copies each.

Calm down people. It's only a print! It's not world poverty. 
P.S. yes, it has happened to me, so I know how you feel, but having a go at someone is not the answer.

is that J&J (Police Kids)? When I was at POW last week they didn't have any around - not sold out (but must be close judging on some of the numbers of unsigned one already being sold on ebay to stupid people) - just needed to screen print some more up....

yeah, but wouldn't if be even better buy if people who really wanted it simply ordered it through POW, and then the right people get them, rather than speculators? and they can get it for ยฃ75!

Not sure what plans there are for Banksy....
But I know there are several things that POW will hopefully be selling soon, such as the excellent show poster from the Collette exhibition in Paris, and a new Eine is a very different style to his other stuff.

Imagine all the people sat at there computer next week ready to purchase a signed banksy to sell on ebay. If there is 350 signed and people are allowed two each there is only 175 going really. I can see this going the same way as my elusive reading festival tickets.

You are assuming that the next print will be another J&J... but in reality it could be another Toxic Mary or a higher priced Grin Reaper.
I favour a ยฃ200 print, limited to 250 run with 100 signed. But rather than release 1 print, they should release 3 or 4 prints at a time - that way, people would have to lay out ยฃ1200 to 'double up'.
And that is a lot of cash most people do not have lying around.
Anyway, I bet nothing appears next week.
