Ask for royalties when that inevitably becomes a book cover.

Harland Miller โข ACE, by Hairbland on Dec 6, 2019 19:44:28 GMT 1, Surely, youโre not using that outlier as a reference. The silly man with too much money at Basel spent 45k so surely I must too. Never said I, nor anyone else should. Slipping or not, I simply stated what I witnessed to all those who said no one is interested in HM. Not just the purchase but people generally gathering and enjoying his work. This business is built around "the silly man with too much money", should we stop referencing Kaws $15million auction result? Or is the silly man then smart when it refers to artists we are invested in?ย I think it says that there is another art world besides the print collectors here.

Harland Miller โข ACE, by shy on Dec 6, 2019 21:01:48 GMT 1, HM is only going up, up, up.
His price points are continuing to increase rapidly and Originals have skyrocketed.
Next target appears to be America and one can only expect a continued rapid rise.
Don't be fooled or mislead by people who act like they know something when they are truly clueless.
Miller's Hong Kong show was a quick sell out and one would expect the same in the future, even at increased prices.
His York Museum exhibition attests to public desire to see his art.
Big Thumbs up for Harland Miller. He continues to shine.
Plus he's represented by White Cube. Need I say more....

I love Harland and Want nothing but Success for him but you are stating facts that arent accurate. ,his Hong king show wasnโt a quick sell out at all. The terrible paper works didnโt sell at all from what I know.
White cube havenโt taken his art to the last couple of fairs I believe. Why would that be?
I have also noticed a lot more work coming out of the studio directly, would white cube like that?

Almost all of it sold pre opening of the show is the reality. This is not in defense of HM but the facts from a longstanding relationship with white cube as well as the artist himself. The works on paper did in fact sell as well just not before the opening of the show. They werenโt my favorite personally.

And this demand will only continue to grow when he hits big in America.
I say when not if- so anyone who loves Harland's work should buy it. He has prints at various price ranges.
I've always wondered why TIWIFA has become his most sought after print? It's great, but so are many others.... Any thoughts?

Harland Miller โข ACE, by firstimer on Dec 7, 2019 2:01:01 GMT 1, He already is big in the US. Places like Soho House etc have his pieces prominently in their houses around the world. Their clientele (celebrities) like his work... and go on to purchase. Then we see them in celebrity homes like Courtney Cox, or if you look at Nicole Scherzinger's home tour on Architectural Digest on Youtube, she has a Miller "I am the one" hanging very visibly in her room. Mixed with British artists like Ed Sheeran/ Harry Styles.... this guy is going nowhere anytime soon.
Like it or not - people like celebrity. And if celebrities like his work, people want his work.

Harland Miller โข ACE, by jimmyjam on Dec 7, 2019 9:59:24 GMT 1, Who cares about Soho House... They also work with Joshua Vides... They work with a ton of artists. The artist get free memberships and the company gets free art. That list mentioned doesn't do much.
His prices have not sky rocketed, there are no originals even close to a million, and I don't think his HK was a quick sell out at all.
There are people who work for Manifold and Maddox on his forum who have a lot invested in this artist and have been hyping him here for a very long long time.
A couple of years ago it was very hard to get a Harland Miller; today not so much. His originals have not sky rocketed and still there is no justification for his high print prices period. Even now his Penguin Prints are sitting on counter editions. A couple of years ago those would have been sold in a day; even with the non-appealing colors... The print isn't horrible, not great, but the price is. If he's going back to his old style for his new show that isn't a great sign either. Everything people are pointing out aren't good signs... haha.
Who cares about Soho House...

Seriously - do that many people really buy just because x, y or z own the same?
