This behaviour seems to be quite ubiquitous now. Perhaps it's the internet generation and their short attenti... You pay €36.30 to enter. Is it that hard to read folks? 'ey yo fam wat up? words? FTS. someone read for me. Said every Instagram post ever.

Pejac • H2O Print, by gd79 on Dec 5, 2019 17:24:02 GMT 1, why charge ship charge and vat for lottory entry to buy print. Very disonisty
Well, they do ship something and you do have to pay VAT on the sale...
Although it is a bit galling that galleries frequently price up excluding tax. There is some logic, as taxes can vary depend on where it is shipped from, but most will pay tax

It's a good way to game everyone who enters because you know the whole run is not available. You do not know what the actual odds are. How many are for sale? 50? If that? You're pissing your money away. If you want to donate €20 just donate it.

And while I applaud his charity support, posting out possibly thousands of postcards for a print meant to highlight environmental issues is hilariously ironic. Let's save the planet but needlessly waste some paper and rack up some carbon emissions in the process.

But is this release process not a little bit hypocritical? There's no need for the postcards, which don't appear to be on recycled cardboard.

And by using the Internet and this forum thousands and thousands of Kwh are being used up an certainly not solely by wind or solar energy. It’s all a matter of view...
I love the image and will definitely join the lottery.

But if your whole ethos is that the planet is in trouble and all your art carries that message, there is kind of a responsibility not to add to that. Would fewer people enter without the postcard?

Whether I'd then pay an extra €1,400 plus postage for a bigger version is a question for another day, but the answer to the question of this day is definitely yes.
