Agreed,
To all those people that want a Banksy print that haven't already got one, I can see why they would want POW to bring out a new one. Because spending £300 to £1000 on one is out of a lot of peoples budget.
If people want to see his new work, and thats the reason they want to see a new print, as i've said before, a new print, new street art etc will come when Banksy wants it to come. He won't do something because someone else wants him to.
It's sad to say, but a lot of peoples motive for buying a banksy is because of the investment. But in this day and age it's in most of our nature, mine included.
In conclusion, if banksy bought out a print, people will buy it whatever it was. 1) for the investment or resale value and 2) you'd probably actually like it
Have i rambled?

New Banksy Print, by hankpank on Jun 22, 2006 22:21:33 GMT 1, I will probably buy any new Banksy even if I don't like it.
Not to sell it though, but to trade for other prints I like and missed. It's only a couple of days since I bought my second Mary & Love Rat (my first duplicates). And you won't see them on ebay, at least not in a couple of years.

New Banksy Print, by HowAboutNo on Jun 23, 2006 1:44:49 GMT 1, Good point well made Retro and it always seems like you are rambling when you type in this small box, when it translates to the pages its only a couple of lines of text in the end...
I have yet to own a single Banksy. Only been into him since Late last year when I discovered my first real one (still only ever really doubt the legitamcy of some of the rats as far as the street pieces go, as they are easier to fake)
I have just in fact emailed POW to hopefully go and pick up my first ever purchase. . Eine's "We Hate Eine" -
1. Because Eine is the first Grafitti artist I ever really remember as a kid,
2. I dont really like the idea overly of owning a print by a grafitti artist, in all essence I want the actual piece(!) but am never about to take it away from everyone else like some have done before.
3. It's the closest I will get to owning something by an artist I really like.
4. It's only £35!
My feelings are more for the "buy with you heart, not with your pocket in mind" side of this one. But to be honest I know that I will 99.9% probably like it whatever the new Banksy(s) happen to be, and at ::)fingers crossed £74.99, much more preferable to the £1300 I really really wanted to spend on Pulp Fiction recently.
Now I've rambled.

If your going into POW you may be interested to know that they have some EINE canvases for £75 each ;D You were saying how you would like a real piece and not a print ;D The canvases are pretty small but each one is a different letter so you could buy a few to make up a word arhhhh, I wish I had got one now

New Banksy Print, by HowAboutNo on Jun 23, 2006 21:03:17 GMT 1, Thanks for the tip but my pocket wont thank you if I decide to go for the "WE HATE EINE" on canvases Or a whole alphabet (yeah right!) ... hmmm. What a good few months of saving could bring But I really need a holiday.
Any idea of print run/style variations? Will stuff like the canvases go on the site, or will you keep it to prints only?

Its cool that their post code ends in 4RT (ART) isn't it.

New Banksy Print, by abeautifulnight on Jul 7, 2006 21:00:32 GMT 1, For the POW website I think there is going to be a new print in september if you look at the desert island disc section it says Banksy selection will be up then and I think it'll be part of a new sell on
but to be honest from looking at the new stuf on his website he may be turning a new direction which is less humourous. You can't be underground for to long and sell a canvas to robbie williams for 40k

I hope you're right, but I interpret that as meaning they'll have his interview up in September, not necessarily a print.
