pencil on acryl original after framing, by felox on Dec 22, 2019 11:34:11 GMT 1, hi! its been a long time that i posted on this forum but i need your help.
i bought a small original on paper painted with acryl. after i received it from the framer it has a little (about 5-7mm) pencil stroke on the work. the framer doesn't told me about it and i saw it after being at home.
the work wasn't cheap so i'm very upset about this. so what do you think would be the best solution or what can i require from the framer?
really appreciate any kind of help.
thank you! felix

pencil on acryl original after framing, by sfnyc on Dec 22, 2019 11:37:29 GMT 1, If framer damaged the piece his insurance should cover restoration costs (if possible to repair) and a high percentage of the value of the work depending on degree of damage.

pencil on acryl original after framing, by Terry Fuckwitt on Dec 22, 2019 11:48:29 GMT 1, If it's just pencil, then blotting it with a quality putty rubber should get rid of it, but I would speak to framer first.

pencil on acryl original after framing, by felox on Dec 22, 2019 12:32:08 GMT 1, thanks for your thoughts. i will contact the framer and hope everything will be ok. but its so annoying if its not possible to repair and only get some refunds. so the work will always stays "damaged"...
