lots of new prints on sale at POW, by notitle on Dec 7, 2006 19:44:13 GMT 1, been at uni so missed out on what i wanted, but nice to see some new things up there.
zeus - another shockingly bad print. didn't think error system could be topped.
space invader's alex, just wont be as good as albino invader for me.
pure evil - don't mind the image, but find the 'pandas rock', a little cheesy.
pete fowler - not my cup of tea, but that metalic paper is rather fetching.
modern toss - don't have any of his prints but i've always liked some of them. may purchase one. really i'd like the original from SG, with the guy complaining that his citreon doesn't turn into a robot.
kelsey brookes - prefer the prints on his site, which are half the edition size and half the price.
eine - not liking these, much prefer the alphabet pieces.
eelus - already got my velvet shatat at SG, lovely jubbly.
Antony Micallef - great stuff but couldn't have even afforded it had i been in.
Sorry, i know nobody asked for my opinion on all that!

To each his own, but I've always had a soft-spot for Pete Fowler, and think Zeus's new print is much much better than Error System... wasn't hard mind!

BTW had to purchase Invaders new print. I think it's class.

I don't think that the latest print was that bad! Not enough to make me jump up and down in excitement, but it's not exactly horrible, methinks!  Like the cracked mirror thing. If only it had a bit more meaning to it other than Zeus' logo.

Its Malcolm Mcdowell as Alex in the Stanley Kubrick film Clockwork Orange.
Glad I got one as it was my favorite thing at SG. Must have taken a while to get all those rubik's cubes right. Not sure how the print will look or if will be nearly as impressive in 2D.

Spend your day eyes glued to the computer like the rest of us  It honestly is really complete luck. The Grannies got released at 3:43am US time so barely anyone got it over here. They did better with an afternoon release of Applause. Get on POW's newsletter, religiously check the POW website, and most importantly probably pray a lot bc it is a complete bunfight.

I would hardly call Applause 'afternoon' - it was 4am in LA and I think 6am in Chicago?

I got myself one at 8.30.
I can now go to santa's ghetto without being dissapointed that it has been sold out.
Looking forward to going to the ghetto as i have been to the last 3.
I have left it late this year as i just can't stand the hype.
I have had great fun reading all the postings of pissed of people complaining about missing out on vast numbers of prints.
I can only assume all the people who have purchased lots of prints this year by various artists live in bloody great mansions as it will be the only way they will have enougth wall space.
I do hope they are not all under their beds in cardboard tubes. ;D ;D ;

The pictures I took at santas ghetto, of the original, when compared to the picture on POW makes the print look like it has a very blue background? You also have to remember to take a few steps back from the screen to appreciate it properly. ;D
