Is it just because international shipping is so expensive from there? I do find it is, at times, prohibitively expensive. No, I think there are 3 main reasons: 1-they say they want to keep it for Japanese markets and clients and not โexportโ it overseas. So there is a sort of closing attitude 2-many shops or galleries donโt even know how to deal in English or to organize an international shipment. 3-yes, shipment. Japan posts is supposedly closed to the US (even if I have received a package almost as fast as with DHL through Japan Post) - only DHL seems to work and itโs an extortion price-wise. I can understand 2 & 3 but 1 is totally nonsense

I do not know where she will go to since she is still 26 years old. At least I felt I like her Socks works when I saw them at a small cafe. Her next exhibition will be at more bigger space in next March. |

He did a collab with Nike x Russ Westbrook not long ago, a recent watch series with Swatch, and has murals up all over the world.
We curated a show with him here in Toronto a few years ago. I still have a few of the pieces on hand if anyone is interested. Picked up a few of the smaller works for my own collection, and placed a handful in collections here in Toronto, and down in the states. Super humble artist, and great guy.

The 2nd one is available over 2 months. First price was 1.3M JPY -> 1.15M and now 1M but still available. However I agree 650K JPY is a reasonable price. |

Wow!! Had no idea. I just told my friend this who has one framed in her hallway since she bought it at the Baltic exhibition (she loves it and isn't selling in case anyone was wondering).
However I have the Yoshitomo Nara + YNG the crated rooms in iceland board book which is super lovely! It was for his 2009 exhibition in Reykjavik. It even comes with a fold-out poster attached and 2 mini pull out images. It looks like they might still be available online (I have no idea how many were printed). I definitely recommend it for any Nara fan!
