Archives: Kaws, Sorayama, Banksy, Calleja ect. for sale!, by Archives Gallery on Jan 28, 2020 17:26:08 GMT 1, I would like to introduce a new online store I have launched: archives.gallery The goal of the store is simple: give a central platform for collectors to be able to buy some of the favorite releases over the years w/ a guarantee on authenticity, esp for the OG Kaws pieces which are known to have good fakes. Right now, most of the items up on the site are from my personal collection, but there are some items which I am selling on behalf of individuals I trust.
I would absolutely love it if folks can take out some time and just have a look at the store and perhaps provide feedback. This is my first attempt at something like this so any feedback would go a long way. Beyond that, definitely check out the items we have for sale, and let me know if you are interested in anything. I can provide detailed pics of any item you may be interested in. I've marked the prices a tad bit high on purpose: these are pieces I love owning and do not need to sell, and would only do so if offered the right price.
Not that i expect anyone to in the beginning stages of building this out, but if you have any nice pieces you'd want me to list on the site, please let me know! I'll charge a close to nothing commission as right now, I'm looking to build inventory, and you can still sell your item on other platforms as you would do so anyways. Thank you all!

Our policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund.
Bit of a tight schedule, innit ??

Archives: Kaws, Sorayama, Banksy, Calleja ect. for sale!, by Archives Gallery on Jan 29, 2020 23:18:57 GMT 1, Good feedback everyone! Just a couple of notes: - Perhaps i need to expand upon my shipping policies and make them clearer. The idea was that an item will be shipped out for delivery within 3-4 days of payment. That does not make any guarantees on when the item will be delivered. I'll also expand the refund policy to be 14 days. Furthermore, those days for refund start after the item has been delivered and in-hand. I'll make that clear too.
- Good points on the "guarantee on authenticity", especially as the store is new and being established. Perhaps i should add a lot of detailed pics, so customers themselves can judge if they can not take my word for it?
- UI can be improved a lot, but again, the goal right now is to get enough eyes on the platform to warrant a UI improvement. I'm taking it a step at a time, and i think there's a lot to improve upon, with UI being slightly further down in the priority list.
- "Should it perhaps be Shop toys/sculptures/figures rather than art" -> I'm definitely adding prints, just need to update the inventory. Furthermore, high end fashion, which I'm into significantly more than art, will be added later too.
- Don't understand what the issue with reading hypebeast is. It doesn't discount the art any less lol. I would absolutely not mind selling supreme or yeezys on the site, but that market is too saturated and StockX prices can not be beat
Yes, the prices are absolutely high especially for forum members. You guys know enough about the market to know when things are overpriced. However, from what i've seen, there is a market that is willing to pay a premium if they can get the item they need with convenience and peace of mind, esp the hard to find ones. Perhaps the experience I'm offering doesn't warrant that premium, but again, I don't care if the items just sit on the site for ages. I guess I will have to if people are asking me selling for them and I'm unable to turn a sale. More realistic pricing might be applied then, and again, I can easily update the prices of anything I want. Right now, the goal is to get as much eyes on the site as possible, even if not sales.
Would appreciate any other feedback! Good, bad, whatever it may be! Thanks all!

"I don't care if the items just sit on the site for ages."
You need to put up some provenance, its easy to say 100% Authentic guaranteed.
If you don't care about selling your collection then why bother setting this up

Archives: Kaws, Sorayama, Banksy, Calleja ect. for sale!, by Archives Gallery on Jan 30, 2020 0:01:02 GMT 1, haha well, the issue is, if you don't trust the site on the authenticity, why would anyone trust the opinion of a facebook group or forum members? I'll tone down the hyperbole if it works negatively.
Also, I do not mean tips on verifying authenticity for myself, but more so proving authenticity for the items being sold. How can I prove to someone that the Pinocchio I'm selling, for example, is certainly authentic?

Can't you ask your global network of knowledgable experts in both the fashion and art world? Or perhaps that's a fancy way of saying "I'll ask people on a forum" Not trying to have a dig, but perhaps tone down the hyperbole on the site - unfortunately the text smells of bullshit rather than providing reassurance.
minimalistic UI and a layman's straight fowardness in product marketing will suit you best. Fancy clean and to the point...you ever seen dr parnassus imaginarium?

Archives: Kaws, Sorayama, Banksy, Calleja ect. for sale!, by Archives Gallery on Jan 30, 2020 1:11:45 GMT 1, sicklypete Great points. The way I thought about it was that listing out that entire process would clutter the site with too much text, and that was something I was going to discuss more in depth with sellers as they contacted me, but I think you're right, I need to be more transparent and list out the details.
I was hoping to avoid being the middleman in very certain situations when I have a high level of trust level with a seller, to the point that i'm willing to eat up the cost if things go wrong. In most cases, I will definitely have to be the middleman and "buy" the item from the seller through paypal invoice (assures the seller they get paid) and then ship that out to the ultimate buyer. Again, there's layers to it. I don't plan on initially working with international sellers as I flesh this out. For individuals within the U.S, I can easily get their items within 2-3 days, especially when we've had a conversation about how this will work. There's definitely some risk involved in such dealings but I trust myself to accurately identify the right, trustworthy individuals who I end up selling for. I'm sure I'll learn some lessons along the way and change my outlook/process.
I have the legal terms listed out. Forgot to link to it. I'll definitely add that in. You got some great feedback and I'd love having a chat if you got time. Let me know if its cool if I pm you.
Also, irl1 not sure what you're suspicious about? The Pinocchio was bought from a fellow collector about an yr ago. Yes I'm aware there are really good fakes. Yes I've had it legit checked. I'm just looking for feedback on how to improve the site and what would ultimately make people a customer. This is very much a work in progress. You get the best advice from strangers that are skeptical.
