Not fact. I wouldn’t hand over £500 quid for this. I’d rather buy a unknown artists original. York Gallery are requesting donations, there’s absolutely no reason for them not to do a re-run when things improve. That would help them.
I do hope the Museum sell more as I would buy one.
What i'm trying to say is these are super and "I" think are worth paying the extra. What if no more are sold

The 500gbp does show as sold but if you click on the 500gbp sold listing on ebay, it tells you this: "This listing has ended. The seller has relisted this item or one like this." The link provided takes you to the 600gbp listing. So the seller either had two and is recycling their listing or they faked a 500gbp sale and relisted. Both are plausible. Seems odd that an auction ended at 325 the day before a 500 sale, but maybe someone got desperate after losing the auction.

I was more keen on shutting Adcua down to be honest. As has been stated several times here he seemed intent on ruining the seller’s sales thread which i personally cannot stand.

No. It sold under £600 because it was a best offer listing, just like the prices others are quoting were.
The only recent auction listing bids ended at £325 on 6th April,so under 300 with fees.

I’m with you mate. I think that one of the most profound effects of the current global crisis is how it really magnifies the farce of fame and celebrity and how the massive amount of attention and money given to this crap used to be socially acceptable. And now, I see stuff like this, where charity is just thinly-veiled self promotion, and it’s just disgusting. It is so clearly calculated. Everyone is just trying to balance their need to stay in the spotlight but avoid the appearance of seeking attention in a way that seems objectionable.
It is a bit ironic how the goal with this new age of artists and artwork promotion is quite literally to go “viral”, attempting to expand recognition and profitability rapidly and to an unsustainable level.
We should all hit the reset button and take a longer look at the unknown original.

Except people have been saying that for 2 months and in that time the price has gone up six fold. So not sure how much more protection people need but thanks for caring. |

£480 was a fair price on here and that’s why it sold on here within a day!
