Makes me nostalgic of emotional moments from my life. In some of the paintings I appreciate his reference of and nod to art historical works that appear to be influences/inspiration. I appreciate the technique and his abilities. I like it, I appreciate it and it makes me happy. That's why I own a couple pieces. I hoped he would gain success and appreciation from others and glad he has. And those that don't know, his wife is also a stellar artist (IMO).

Im sure im doing all these artists a disservice .. but it would appear this is the Norwegian stencil art craze of the 2020's.. ( and i admit to getting caught up in that back in the day!)
thought there was a big Philiip Guston influence and then he says he has copied one of his, nice to be right occasionally..really interesting..sure as hell dont want one though!
This and other pieces are an insult to Guston.. so much of this kiddy art being pumped out at the moment.
