I'd be interested as well. I have a ton of stuff to sell and things seem to do surprisingly well in some of those auctions. Just wondering if it'd be worth giving it a try.

They charge 20% Hammer! 'Twas owed money during the merger as well for a period of 2 months with excuse after excuse. Fake Kaws Toys have slipped through twice now! Alan is a complete idiot when it comes to estimates and many other mistakes. They act purely as a middleman and NEVER touch the product. All you do is send in pics and based off of that they determine if it's real/fake. When it sells they send a courier to pick it up and then you're supposed to be paid within 30 days which happened only once when I consigned with them. Use to be 10% hammer pre-merger and I'm sure that many people on this forum can vouch for what has been said here. Just do a quick search and you'll see a myriad of problems with them. Stay away, far away...... My two pence

Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by Pattycakes on Sept 5, 2017 15:55:20 GMT 1, I totally understand the draw of online only sales particularly when they are curated. All I can say is beware I got absolutely shafted by Paddle 8 in their last incarnation and I just do not trust them.
Frankly I am amazed after all that happened with paddle8/Auctionata that they are still prepared to hold sales. They certainly will never get anythng from me again and I know plenty of other people who feel the same way. Which is a shame as they once were a great option.
That said there are many other good options that are a million times better. To put into perspective I gave 4 things to the Forum Auctions and Artsy urban sale last month and everything sold for almost double the top estimate, easy to deal with and I got paid on time which compared to my Paddle 8 experience was a dream.

Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by Deleted on Sept 5, 2017 17:41:37 GMT 1, "Paddle8 was founded by the Phillips veteran Alexander Gilkes, startup maestro Aditya Julka, and merger and acquisition specialist Osman Khan. In three rounds of fundraising in its early days, Paddle8 raised $44 million from 13 investors, including boldface names like British artist Damien Hirst, London dealer Jay Jopling, Greek shipping tycoon Stavros Niarchos, and New York/London dealer David Zwirner."
Hirst has also shut down another gallery from memory? the ones that sold the H Miller deckchairs
And Joplin is white cube?
Don't know what my point is other than $44 Million seems like quite a lot of money invested initially to have only lasted 6 years before they ripped people off

Paddle8 Auctions ๐บ๐ฒ BANKRUPT , by Poly Mindset on Sept 12, 2017 23:49:10 GMT 1, No bids on any of the Banksy pieces with less than 48 hrs. to go. Invader and Zevs are tearing it up. As someone mentioned earlier, the problem with P8 auctions is the shipping charge based on a percentage of the hammer price. So with the fees, taxes and shipping you can figure an extra 70%. Freekin' ridiculous.
