Hi guys,

Wanted some advice, I sold a print with Paddle 8 in December and was picked up and delivered to the buyer on January 14th. I was told I would receive my payment at the end of January. it didn't happened, after a number of emails, i got a response stating there had been an accounting error and i would receive payment on 11th feb, still no payment. After weeks of emails and no response, i get the standard response of we are working on it and should be soon. 

what can I do?

Ive sold with paddle 8 since they first started 5 / 6 years ago and the service as got so bad in the last 2 years. they seem to be lying to me about payment and seems like they could be in administration and trying to stall all payments to consigners.

I have told them, that i will use my bot to bid on all current auctions and sabotage all listing. It seems to of got a response from them, telling me not to do that and they are working on my payment.

The bot threat was poorly thought out. If you're American that you run afoul of economic terrorism laws.

Persistence and polite wording are key. A properly-worded thread here coupled with sending them a link could have been a sufficient motivator for them to pay ASAP without burning bridges.

Taylor is the dude’s name. Go on linkedin go on Facebook go on Instagram and go on twitter ranting and tag other auction houses. Public perception and company image are integral parts to the company’s integrity and especially an auction house which is built off the public’s trust.

I do it all the time when I’m experiencing issues with employees who think they own the company and all I want is to conduct my business and keep it moving.

I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news but gossip indicates more Financial issues with them. I was told not to consign with them a month or so ago.

They have a history of not paying and administration and I think they may go under again.

I hope it wasn’t a lot of money.

Yes, i never got paid on a piece i sold through them a few years back. I did post on here and have tried to warn others when similar threads appear.

They currently owe a Charity close to a six figure sum and still not giving a payment date.

They have huge overheads and use each Auctions payment to pay off the last auctions sellers. This model is not sustainable and will only lead one way.

Zippy did you follow up or report them? or you just never got your money?
